Hm, I'm from Ukraine, living in Poland. And this point of view looks strange for me.

I, as a man, have a lot of girl friends I can hang out with - for a cup of coffee, walk and etc. No romantic interest, just communication. It would be strange to remove all your friends from your life when you meet a girlfriend.

Also, you can't give your "attention to the max". It's called "слияние с партнером" (I think you can understand, couldn't find good translation). You need time for hobbies, for friends, for family and etc. I don't want to be with a girl, who doesn't have hobbies, familty and etc & she would spend all here time only with me. It sounds creepy to me.
