__Hello_my_name_is__

People that are scared of subcultures (while literally being part of a different subculture) are just weird to me.

__Hello_my_name_is__

It's fun watching Furries becoming more and more mainstream like that.

__Hello_my_name_is__

You are joking, but furries have indeed developed cooling vest methods for fursuits that were then sold to the (Dutch, in that case) military. And some fursuits do indeed have fans inside them to keep your head cool.

But just to give you a random, quickly grabbed example: This is your average fursuit. Note how the eyes within the head and not flush with it.

Often, fursuit eyes use certain tricks to make the eyes always look at the viewer no matter the angle, which looks amazing because to the viewer it looks like the fursuits are actually looking at you.

You get addons like magnet eyebrows that you can switch to get different facial expressions.

You get tongues or teeth so the inside of the muzzle looks realistic.

And generally speaking, the fur quality and overall production quality is just way higher. The Chinese ones will probably look kinda bad after a few washes, while high quality fursuits can endure a surprising amount of punishment.

Just because it's fun, here's some armchair analysis from someone who knows about this stuff: These are "partials", so a partial fursuit (just head, hands and feet), and at first glance they kinda look somewhat cheap.

In the last few years, Chinese knock-off brands have sprung up since there's enough of a demand for this. They sell for way cheaper than an actual fursuit costs (a partial like this would otherwise easily be 3k or more), but they are also cheaply made.

In this case, the eyes and mouths look somewhat cheaply made. I'm not trying to say that's a bad thing, mind you, these aren't awful or anything. But they definitely have this "bought on Temu" vibe compared to fursuits bought from a well known fursuit maker.

And given that this is essentially just halloween costumes, that's totally fine. It could be way worse, too (remember when one of the ICP member's daughter got a cheap fursuit from China and it looked just awful?).

Also at least one of the four in the picture is 100% a furry and tried to convince their parents to get them a proper fursuit "for halloween". Nice try!

I mean there is that one fursuit that can take its own face off to reveal a skull underneath.

__Hello_my_name_is__

I mean, the actually good ones can easily cost >10k for just one. That'd be some expensive halloween.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Oh god I both want and do not want to see Vince's interpretation of furries.

__Hello_my_name_is__

To be perfectly fair, it's 1 Dynamite squash match, 4 Dark matches and 6 Dark: Elevation matches.

In 2021 and 2022.

She also had 2 NXT matches. So, obviously, she's a WWE wrestler as well.

Also a TNA wrestler.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Wait is this one of those philosophical "if a tree falls in the woods and nobody's there, did the tree really fall" kind of questions?

__Hello_my_name_is__

If you think a legends contract is enough to make a living, well, I'd say you're very wrong.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Are we just assuming they can retire and never need to make money again in their lives or something?

Yeah, duh, people work for money. What a shocker.

__Hello_my_name_is__

It's the same in 2 out of 3 falls matches, etc., where suddenly people kick out way less than usual.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Why can you always tell which guys are posting in a certain other sub immediately without even checking? Must be this special brand of completely useless sarcasm.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Genuine people. That's what we want.

The Rock ain't that. It feels very transparent in what he's trying to do, be it trying to put himself into the WWE main event out of nowhere, or putting himself into "prestige films" out of nowhere after having played action roles for most of his career.

There's a reason people love Bautista and not this guy.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Jericho will be an on-screen manager for the next 20+ years and you will like it, or else Jericho will come after you personally.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Really looking forward to the headline of "Nick Khan made a few phone calls and now WWE wrestlers are defined as being emergency staff" in a day or two.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Well, yeah. There are countless wrestlers that are really really good at the "wrestling" part, and yet never made it big, because they're missing other aspects.

__Hello_my_name_is__

WWE just elevated an AEW lower midcarder into the main event.

I guess WWE is just for the AEW rejects.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Okay, sure, but obviously they've been planning and negotiating with Ilya for a while here, too.

__Hello_my_name_is__

I wouldn't say his return was last minute, but the contract being signed last minute I definitely believe.

__Hello_my_name_is__

I will always be amazed at how short-notice some things in wrestling are. WWE did a bunch of these things over the decades, too. Guy signs a contract on a Saturday just to show up on the PPV on Sunday. Didn't Punk do that when he returned, too?

__Hello_my_name_is__

It's not at all controversial. The fact that you pretend that this is somehow a brave, bold statement is part of why everyone's laughing at you.

The other part is because you're participating in a place that used the unexpected death of a wrestler to whine about AEW's wellness policy.

__Hello_my_name_is__

Oh hey guys I found one!

__Hello_my_name_is__

Anyone who speculated on anything else should issue an apology if they have any sense of decency and integrity.

There's an entire place out there that wildly speculated and kept making sarcastic comments about AEW's lack of a wellness policy, implying that being the issue here.

None of those people will apologize.

__Hello_my_name_is__

At least I wasn't the only one.

We're perverts.
