Math is a field where raw talent is more apparent than in almost any other field, like Terrence Tao won an IMO medal at just 10 years old, he hadn't even been alive that long to chalk it up to very many years of hard work

It's different types of difficult, one is trying to manipulate a continuous fluid into forming a whirlpool that produces discontinuity, the other is making a new algorithm breaking the exponential barrier, which many experts thought was impossible
So yes in terms of how surprising the result is, breaking exponential is more surprising than N-S
___Archmage___
Yeah it was way more common in the '00s, and using gay as an insult must go back centuries and even millennia across various languages

ETH was a counterexample algorithm. Proving P≠NP would entail proving there is no possible counterexample across all algorithms you could possibly write
ETH was crazy impressive, but P≠NP is a different level of impossible

I do think taxes should be taught in government-run public schools because the government is the one levying taxes and legally enforcing that people follow tax law
Not down with the anti-intellectualism in general of course

They're quite different, Cr1tical is just boring, the other one is the ultra degenerate one with the right wing political alignment

It's fingers out laser-straight towards the eyes, it couldn't be more obviously intentional
I've done maybe 2 accidental eye pokes in 4 years of grappling, most professional fighters and grapplers almost never eye poke. These ones are doing it on purpose

She should literally go to jail for this, it's always weird that assault/battery like this gets a pass just because it took place in a sports match

Western companies being cavalier with black box AI models from a geopolitical adversary and giving them access to all their sensitive systems and data is extremely questionable, to say the least
___Archmage___
True but it is also the all-time stupidest name for a logical fallacy, needs a new one
___Archmage___
Saying they're close to P=NP is misinformation, they made the bound slightly below exponential, that's still light years away from polynomial, which is probably outright impossible

Maybe the videos showing off a highlight reel of these people's office perks don't actually represent the real amount of work that they do every day

It's definitely not NBA money but he gets paid quite a lot for a journeyman

He's skilled and committed enough that he will keep using AI well and it will boost the development speed and quality of Linux
Other people who are unskilled or don't care will overwhelm mailing lists with slop, but the right person can do big things with it

Movsar was winning but then Volk tag teamed out for Belal Muhammad who won a unanimous decision
___Archmage___
And the next contender should be significantly easier too so we can probably see him get a tenth title win

Volk the knockout artist
The reason everyone on MMADecisions scored it for Yan was confirmation bias about Yan being the "killer Russian talent" and O'Malley being the "industry plant for casuals"
Round 3 was lopsided for O'Malley with a huge knee and nearly 3:1 volume edge, so anyone scoring that for Yan may as well have just skipped watching the fight and turned in their scorecard based on their preconceptions
