I'm having the same problem, except with both controllers. What motherboard do you have? I hear that it's a motherboard issue. I'm going to try turning off the USB power saving setting to see if that helps. If not, a USB expansion card may be needed.
___Shogun___
Guys, I suspect my issue may be related to the usual AMD motherboard problems. I'm running a non-powered USB hub, and just read that some people are having problems with controllers constantly disconnecting due to USB issues, rather than batteries. I think I may be in this camp as well.
Yay, back to troubleshooting USB issues...

Its the only USB that can get the headset to actually work. So it looks like the only USB that gets Windows to recognize the headset causes audio issues.
Lovely.

I'm shocked that you haven't had connectivity issues with an all AMD system like yours. Congrats.

I've been dealing with constant issues with my G2 since I received it. Constant connection problems and sound issues.

Thanks for the link. My MB is actually a B450, not X570.

Maybe the truck driver wanted himself some G2 action.

That sucks mate. I had a bit of nightmare setting it up to work correctly when mine arrived yesterday, but I think I've sorted all the issues.
What was wrong with yours?
___Shogun___
FYI - I've resolved this issue. The speakers were disabled within WMR, not Windows.
___Shogun___
I've resolved this issue. The problem was that the audio configuration within WMR had the headset audio set to off. I was trying to fix this within the Windows audio settings, but it was actually off within the WMR settings.

Its really cumbersome fitting my chunky headphones on top of the headset. Really want to just simply use the much lauded Index speakers. I guess we're beta testing for HP.

Thanks mate. I uninstalled Oculus and it stopped switching to it. But instead, it started switching back and forth to my Asus Xonar sound card.
HP is a shambles with this headset. I just want to enjoy this damn thing.

Whats the window seal foam hack? I too am disappointed with the FOV, so keen to know morw about this.
___Shogun___
Pretty poor showing from HP with this headset. Dissapointing after all the hype.
___Shogun___
That really unfortunate for you mate. Mine's literally being delivered today, and id be extremely frustrated if this happens to me as well after months of waiting.
___Shogun___
Did they email you to let you know it has arrived? I'm thinking I should have chosen to pick it up rather than get it delivered. Just checked my email and haven't received anything.

When did you pre-order?
That's really why I posted the question - I'm not familiar with DotD - so I wasn't sure whether to trust it as source. Do they have a track record of leaks that don't come to fruition?
