Yeah dude, they just talk blindly talk about hot internet takes from last season without actually watching and reacting to the game in front of them. I missed so much if the game while my eyes were rolling at their commentary

As someone who lamented the addition of LeBron James, now that the season has started I have definitely been excited watching him play these first two games. Things seem like they're going well in the locker room and some of the stuff I've seen of LeBron on social media has genuinely made me laugh or smile.
I've decided to drop my skepticism and just enjoy the moment and the moment has been awesome so far. However, it is just two games and I think I'll be able to have a clearer stance after about 20 games or so, but I hope Spike will do the same thing and just enjoy the phenomenal basketball we've seen these two games.

Don't worry bro, we haven't forgotten how bad he is when you actually need a serviceable backup center in a game that matters. Congrats on losing on banner night

Sure, there is a strong correlation between getting a degree and obtaining a higher paying job (I'm not saying otherwise), but folks with degrees are struggling too. There's an American dream that's says, "if you get a degree, you'll be able to get a career that will ensure a comfortable life", and lately that's become less of a certainty.
All I'm trying to say with my post is that I see an ussue using "a lack of a college degree" as something to dunk on someone for. It equates someone without a degree as someone who is inherently stupid. It's a wrongful generalization that alienates folks without a degree.
In this case, it goes one step further to paint the Republican party as the party for folks without a degree despite conservative policies not necessarily being in the best interest for those without a degree. It just feeds the Republican narrative of all Democrats and the party as college elitists who think you're dumb.

syccsssful, huh? Lol jokes aside, I agree with you. The issue I see is using "a lack of a college degree" as something to dunk on someone for. It equates not having a degree as someone who is inherently stupid. It's a wrongful generalization that alienates folks without a degree.

Cringe college elitism in an age where degrees have failed on their promise of well paying and fulfilling careers.
The college elitism portrayed in this post is the exact BS that Republicans call out and rally the modern era of unionless blue collar workers behind.
It's a shame because the Republican party doesn't really support them at all and Democratic policies do. Democrats, culturally, used to be the party of unionized blue collar workers who most certainly did not go to college.

Yeah I second this. You're never going to outrange Giant bosses like this, so you got to get used to dodging their attacks towards the boss to get inside for a few juicy hits. Otherwise you ought to switch to the whip cane

The premise of the movie is that the forces of natural selection that favored the smart and strong has fallen apart and that evolution no longer favors intelligence. "With no natural predators to thin the herd, evolution simply rewarded those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an indangered species."
It doesn't say the eugenics solution of selective breeding out loud, but it does state the eugenics premise that a society that does not mimic the selective breeding that supposedly comes with survival of the fittest will inevitably lead to dumb people deminishing the human species.

Yeah dude, I'd like for him to pander his ass off. No joke. Like Bryce Harper. If he wants more buy in from the team, then he needs to buy into the team. Imagine some know-it-all flying in to tell you how to do your job, then leaving every night because he thinks he's too good to live where you live. Sure, he is the the best at what he does, but I'd resent his ass

I mean after LeBron basically said that he only came to Philly because New York won a chip and the fact that he flies in on a helicopter from New York hasn't made me much of an ally

Many of the junction boxes of the old signal masts don't have the connections needed for pedestrian signals, let alone programming pedestrian lead time signaling, transit signal priority, and bike signals. Below is DPW's description of the projects.
*Citywide Signal System Upgrade This project is the fourth phase of a major upgrade to the City’s traffic signal system, enhancing the traffic signal communication network with fiber optic cable, wireless communication routers, and radio antenna systems. These upgrades will integrate additional traffic signals into the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) software and significantly improve the overall reliability of the signal communication network.
Advanced Traffic Signal Performance Measures Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPMs) significantly reduce the need for manual data collection, field inspections, and reactive maintenance by providing a continuous and historic record of intersection operations. This technology generates automated reports on key performance indicators to help city staff monitor signals in real time, which streamlines troubleshooting and maintenance.
Centralized Transit Signal Priority and Emergency Vehicle Preemption This project will provide a centralized Transit Signal Priority (TSP)/Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) system to manage priority and preemption requests and authorizations at traffic signals. The system improves transit reliability, emergency vehicle response times, and multimodal safety and operations along City streets.
Traffic Controller and Cabinet Replacements Pole-mounted traffic signal cabinets are being upgraded throughout to the latest ground-mounted standard design. This will provide the City with more consistent and reliable signal operations and troubleshooting at these intersections while allowing for future accommodation of advanced technology equipment being deployed by the City as part of other projects.
All-Way Stop Control Conversions The City maintains approximately 500 signalized intersections. Equipment replacement costs are high, so engineering evaluations are performed to determine if every traffic signal is still necessary, or if stop signs would be sufficient. Dozens of intersections are candidates for conversion from traffic signal to all-way stop signs. This conversion project saves the City millions of dollars, while keeping people safe as they travel on public streets.*

I don't have answers for the placement of the speed bumps, but the city is doing a massive upgrade to the signal system and the tech that runs them. To do that, they have to install entirely new signal masts to accommodate the new tech. Those are a liiiiittle more expensive. They've started the process and you can see some new ones in Shockoe.
