I'm trying to track down the source of the problem by connecting my device to the Desktop Head Unit emulator, part of the Android SDK. I was able to replicate the issue and I think I may have found the source. Do you happen to have the app "AODNotify/Notification Light for Pixel" installed: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.aodnotificationledlight&hl=en_US? I do, and force-stopping that app via adb when the problem was occurring made the screen come on immediately.
Force-stopping the app disabled the Accessibility access that the app had. I just turned it back on, and also granted the app permission to modify system settings and set alarms/timers. Going to see if that makes a difference.
Edit: that didn't fix it, the issue is still occurring so long as the app controls my AOD. My workaround for the time being is a Tasker task that disables the associated accessibility service when the variable %UIMODE is set to "car", and re-enabling it when %UIMODE is set to "normal".

This is either fake or you are dumb AF for posting this. Why would you share something that the right would try to spin as voter fraud if you actually supported Harris. If this is real, delete it.

Also, OP said he paid 10k CAD.

I would have called it "PowerBottom".

Shameless self promotion: I gave a talk 3 years ago about this exact type of problem in a dating app: https://youtu.be/GNoLXMJDyww

What's ridiculous about it? No one argued otherwise, but if the defendant has nothing to give to OP, it's a rough situation.

But how else are you going to
film it and post itlive-stream on social media to show how badass you are?

One of the dumbest decisions made in /r/legaladvice was to lock all update threads. Really killed the entertainment value of the sub, and they created a new sub for discussing stuff from legaladvice. It seems like that's done sometimes here, but not consistently enough to know for sure. It's pretty dumb; this is reddit, it's a place meant for discussion.

There is a significant difference between illegal and "violates company policy". It's the difference between jail time and being fired. According to this source this would only be illegal in 12 states (the others only require single-party consent). You should amend your post, because it doesn't make sense and is misleading.

She SHOULD serve time. She literally ruined OP"s brother's life and damaged countless others as a result. OP should pursue this if for no other reason than to send the cousin away for what she did.

Title: Involved in vandalism in house, lawsuit threatened...
Original Post:
It's that time of year, high school homecoming season. There was a kid in my friend group that no one likes so we all went out to wreck havoc on the house while he was out of town. So multiple groups hit the house one the first night that came and put chocolate syrup and mustard all over the side of the brick house and on some sidewalks. The next night me and my friends go out to hit the house, the house is already wrecked but we TP it and fork the yard, little did I know my friend had 6 eggs and threw four at the side of the house. I didn't do anything except throw toilet paper. The kid finds out from all of the neighbors and it turns out the police had been called multiple times while the shenanigans were going on late at night. The kid texts everyone in a chat and says that he knows the name of every single person involved(someone ratted) and that if any permanent damage was called he was going to get police involved/ a possible lawsuit to cover the damages. I guess that his neighbor is a lawyer and wants to cover the case. Is there anything that I should be worried about at the point or should I start getting prepared for the worst?
Thank you for any advice in advance!

You're assuming that A) management gives a shit about the IT guy doing this, which they may not, and B) that it's against some company policy for IT to "snoop" (or put another way, monitor) employee emails. The IT guy is not the subject here, unless he completely fabricated the emails. All he did was bring to light lies being told about OP.

There's no logical explanation for it, but it's the type of thing assholes do to try to feel superior and/or get their way.

I've never been homeless, but I was thinking the same thing regarding the hotel. Even cheap motels are not that cheap. If you know you're going to be flat broke in a few days and unable to live in the hotel you're best to prepare yourself for this by securing a place to stay now, like at a shelter or a friend's couch, if possible. What little money you do have left should be saved for something more important, like food. Figuring out what you're going to do after shit hits the fan is the worst thing you can do, as now you're stuck in a situation that you could have at least prepared for a little. I can certainly empathize with the feeling of wanting to procrastinate despite the inevitable either due to depression or otherwise, but please do yourself a favor and find a place to stay! That couple day's worth of hotel fees will be even more important shortly.

I got my first job in my field thanks to a Craigslist job posting 18 years ago, right when the economy was going to shambles. That has grown into a very rewarding career that I love. No questions, just wanted to say thank you!
