When I first started listening I jumped around to episodes with guests I knew, worked pretty well but eventually I started at episode 1 and went from there. I’m now doing it for a second time

We have been using it up here in Alaska! We’re having to fight off yet another challenge to it, it’s getting exhausting

Nice I'll have to check it out!

You don't start with having a podracer available in the new one, I've only played maybe 6 hours or so but have had a blast so far. You'll love it

All of Gil's characters are GOAT.

When I trailrun mountains my pattern has been listening to CBB or Neighborhood listen on the way up, then music on the way down.

He's got some wild stuff from Comedy Bang Bang and SuperEgo, a bunch of animated versions on youtube

Wild that this was done with all practical effects and no cgi

I’ve read and listened to DCC twice (book 8 once) and am now on book 2 of He Who Fights With Monsters and absolutely hooked. The MC takes some getting used to, but it’s a great series if you enjoyed DCC

Same, trail running and mountain biking for me. I still remember the exact trail I was riding the first time I heard Dr Sweetchat, and had to pull off the trail I was laughing so hard

Grew up here, went to college here, still live here hah. Travel a lot but don’t think I’m ever leaving at this point!

More into backcountry these days but hoping to do more resort skiing this year, used to ski Aly every weekend as a kid and teen

That’s fair

Perfect choice especially if you were an N64 podracing fanatic like I was

Stair master at the Y while listening to audiobooks has been my jam.

Did my first backcountry tour of the season last week and was in much better shape than my usual first. Legs were still jelly on my second decent

There’s a reason stealth archer is a meme at this point

Brutal!

Chair 6!

I saw that post and love your take!

Were the whole cast together for Aragorn’s coronation? Trying to think of there’s any shots with everyone in frame at the same time.

Guess I’m just going to have to rewatch (which works out since we’re doing lotr this year for Halloween, me as Gandalf, my wife as gollum, and the 2 cats and 2 dogs as the hobbits)

They talked about it on NPR, on All Things Considered. That doesn’t happen often

Mentioned in another comment but I collected the glass bottles as a kid, kind of like the sad dudes who have rows of empty liquor bottles

I collected the glass bottles as a kid for some reason. Wonder if they’re still in my dad’s basement.

At some point they switched to plastic

Better AI choices. Just had a round where the AI played a weather card, and two turns later played a clear weather card

Same! Only thing is the first one I got had a removable daypack, but the drawstring broke on my first trip. Brought it back to REI to exchange and the new model didn’t have the daypack.

How’s their neck? Their back?

Not really sci fi but I enjoy all these and just started watching Get Jiro and really enjoying it. It was originally a graphic novel by Anthony Bourdain

Same, I’ve tried Canes a few times now and just don’t get it
