Development Status:

This code is fairly stable, well-tested, and suitable for casual use, although currently lacking documentation. No promise is made about support or long-term stability. This code will evolve without regard to backwards compatibility.

I'm a casual qt-creator user... afaik there used to be knob to ignore all break-points while debugging and then it vanished at some version? Has this functionality made it back to qt-creator?

I know, but I'd rather have a specialized type with meaningful member names or functions. It (pair) works, but you get things like

pair<iterator, bool> result = ...;
if(result.second)
   use  result.first->second;

I just usually write my own "getter" function that returns a pointer to the mapped_type (allowing a simple if not zero); the std::pair<bool, Iterator> always feels like bad form, don't really know about about std::optional<Iterator> and how it would work for something so simple.

Yeah, a very singular person.

It's really for generic functions and not "regular" use; it allows the templated in argument to be pretty much anything remotely callable. You can even pass in a pointer to class member and invoke will return the value of the said member (+you're spared the unintuitive C++ syntax for pointers to members).
