Man I’d love to pick your brain further.

By recommending it, I assume you do like it, right? I heard it earns the complexity it has. Which is nice given that the thing I disliked the most about Faust was that the world building and lore building could’ve been so much cooler than it was.

I heard that! It’s added to the list as well! Thanks so much to this community for supporting us, the ever-consuming and all-hungry audience.

Ta!

I study history, mythology, literature, and folklore in my off time of being a dad/husband and work. So trust me, I love the depth and world building that’s been done. I think the character arts are mostly wonderful. I’ve been writing a book myself for over 15 years now which eventually will be done. So every time I reread anything I catch more and more and more of it.

Faust was okay. I found the main narrative somewhat intriguing but ultimately got lost in the occult lore. Like demons that so accessible with different layers. Idk maybe I’ll give it another shot but I was disappointed.

I wanted to like it though.

Yes that’s 100% true. Sorry, though are you a bot? I did recommend it as I read it already…

Kip, Dresden is my literary life for sure. I just have to read some more stuff while I wait patiently to restart the series haha

Rivers of London

I’m floored by the recommendations. I lazily wrote those post so I’m going to add some more notes to my reviews. For those whom have not read The Rook Files, Stranger Times, or the Gentlemen Bastards, I highly, highly…highly recommend them.

Yeah I read them all. Like 5 is probably not even true. More like a dozen. At least 2x a year!

Everyone gets one…

This is just barbarians acting like they know the Lethani.

Honestly, it’s so hard not to paint with such broad strokes, but I don’t understand where a healthy balance is with this sort of thing. It just seems like everything is too far out of control everywhere.

I’m not trying to sound political here… But this doesn’t appear to be nativeborn Frenchmen. Isn’t it mostly migrants all across Europe that are doing this? Or is this just the United States media and right wing outlets furthering that sort of narrative?

Bad man, I won.

I honestly have a comparative opinion on this. It’s much like Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring how Peter Jackson avoided Tom Bombadil and the Barrow Downs. Things like the zombie are a little more tactile in the book and understandable but for the context of, “the undead enemy is north of the wall and marching ever closer” crisis, it doesn’t fit the narrative. So while it’s in the books, I kind of understand following that sort of precedence.

Back to the drawing board.

I: Rome has not fallen.

Sorry to ask but which is which haha

As in buy them on Amazon and download to desktop and pull the over?
