Just adding that I'm having the same issue and hadn't been able to find any answer.

I've got a few properties that are on zero notes, but right clicking them in the "all properties" side panel just shows "unassign" as an option (which doesn't seem to anything in this context). Can't figure out how to delete them outright.

Figured I'd update on how things went after our most recent session. Our rogue was excited to have a "crew" of sorts.. I had him inspect the troops and get to know them a bit (crafted a little bit of personality for each of the ten bandits).

Group actually got sidetracked with some good conversation/argument about why each of them were really adventuring in the first place. They hadn't had a frank and open discussion about it so far, so it was good for them to hash it out a bit and understand motivations.

I brought in Halia (whom they hadn't met before) and had her play out her part smooth and slyly. She praised their work, but then gave them the town's perspective of what this group has been up to.. how they have a bit of a PR problem here.. plus they want this nice manor, need the money to build it up, need the money to pay for the bandits.

Then it was all about honing in on the rogue.. playing up having similar styles and mindsets, peas in a pod, having a destiny, desiring power and influence.. and boom, lay down the plan of having her rebrand the redbrands as town guards while she helps the team with resources in the future.

They talked it out amongst themselves and with her.. All in all, I think it worked out. They understood the position they were in, they had choices to make and things to do, and Halia was in the right place at the right time to exploit that while being subtle about it.

Now they're back on track and they decided to do the Thundertree stuff. They just made it there (after vanquishing a rather hungry owlbear) when we ended the session.. which is great for me because I seriously need to prep for the dragon stuff. Nervous about roleplaying that one well and making Venomfang conniving and menacing enough.

As a tangent, one of the bandits (a ten year old rambunctious girl with attitude) had some good banter with one of the characters. I'm very tempted to have it so that she followed them to Thundertree possibly, but haven't fleshed that out yet.

Mm hmm, I think I'm going to try a similar tactic but have it be the Zhentarim... Either that or it'll be the Townmaster.

This has been noodling around in the back of my head, trying to capture the town reaction.

They've been tormented by these mercs for a long while, then a group of adventurers come in and start battling them. Hope grows. Soon after, the adventurers return with the wife and kids that were captured.. and when the town thinks, "Awesome, these guys are heroes," the PCs go around and take over the remaining bandits.

Like /u/mcbobboreddit said, this might have to be a later conflict in the long term as they have more pressing stuff to deal with. But I can set things in motion with a less than agreeable attitude from townsfolk. Especially the wife and kids, Daran, oh and Carp.. he's gonna have some disappointed baby doe eyes at all this. In my version (directly inspired by reddit post, credit to /u/Rokdog), he's got uncontrolled sorcerer powers which attracted Iarno to him. Iarno killed Carp's mom and Carp went ballistic, burning Iarno and temporarily banishing him... somewhere).

Aaaanyways, I digress and only because i've been excited about how things have grown out of this starter story.

Down the line, shit has to go down. Either redbrands rebel, or the townsfolk mob up.. or the Zhentarim step in. I just need to nudge this boulder up to the top of the precipice a little more and let nature runs its course.

Oooo, that's good! I forgot about Halia, especially since the party didn't bother to go to the exchange and meet her. She should definitely play a part.

The plot thickens! This is long-term territory indeed.. need to plant the seeds, let the pot simmer, and mix many more metaphors until the whole thing is ready to burst. I love it.

Excellent points. I feel like they're eager to play house next session and I need to remind them that there are more pressing concerns.. need to think of a compelling reminder. Perhaps need to adjust things and have one of the dwarf brothers show up (or perhaps a doppelgänger)

Love the bandit foreshadowing.. that also makes sense to do for now. I know the rogue was interested in having the bandits along for some questing, so need to disavow that notion in a clever way.

I might have to end up losing the nothic or let him run away.. but if I can come up with an interesting premise, he'd be a useful character to have around.

You're right overall about balancing short term and long term.. just need to keep both in mind and strike a good balance. Thanks for the advice!

She won't be driving, and being far from a hospital like that isn't ideal for her.

Not to say that I wouldn't consider specific alternatives if you think they're adequate spots. Are you suggesting Chandler's Ford?

Hey, Sorry for the delay.. My notifications settings were totally off apparently.

Winchester because my wife signed up with a group of midwives based there that will help her throughout the last couple of months of pregnancy. I was a little hesitant about it but she felt really comfortable with them so figured that's all that matters.

Now however need to deal with logistics!
