When you quit, life still happens. However, without the anxiety and clouded judgement we can handle life situations better. When I first quit, every hard thing that happened in my life made me want to turn to alcohol. That is what I had done for so long and it took time to a lot of time for alcohol to not be my first thought when my life stresses happened. It gets easier though with time. I never go backwards has been my motto with relationships because I left them for a reason and did not take it lightly. Once you are sober for a while you will see you did the right thing by leaving a toxic relationship! Good on you!

Congrats on making it 50 days! I like many here, just have to abstain because most of us can not stop with one drink. I know if I had one ( even after all this time) then it would to way too many! IWNDWYT

Yes, it has helped so so many for sure!

Congratulations of finding your solution! You are right. Never lose hope because this can be done!

Vertigo can make a person nauseated. Vertigo can also be part of the withdrawl process for some. Keep on keeping on!

When I got sick and tired of being sick and tired, I quit. You can do this!

"One Day at a Time" is what has worked for me! The longer I went, the intense cravings got less.

amdetermined

Be proud of yourself for realizing that you did not need to put yourself in a situation like that! I stayed away for a long while to get stronger.
