This is the biggest problem in my opinion, and it's gotten worse in the past 15 years. The respectful guys have gotten the message to back off, even though the message wasn't directed at them. So now all that's left are the sleazy salesman types with their unshakable "confidence."

Is it possible that it's more about how you feel inside vs. how other people perceive you? Like if I were a woman, why should I care if you're a little nervous, if a woman was a little nervous we would find that endearing and relatable. So maybe if you were sober you would actually do fine.
