this is the funniest post on this sub all week lol
anothercar
She said it's in her studio apartment... I assume it is a rug? Unless her apartment floor is cement? 😮
anothercar
Nice! If I can make a recommendation, maybe vacuum the carpet to make it a little more inviting for customers
anothercar
That's a good definition.

Disconnection from reality
anothercar
Psychosis induced by seeing any example of AI.
(There's another thing, where people get psychosis because they talk to chatbots all day long, which you could also describe as AI-induced psychosis... but that's obviously not what we're talking about here since I don't think the commenters here are using chatbots in their comments)
anothercar
I'm using the second definition, though that one is concerning as well...
Inability to even process anything else because all their brain can comprehend is that they need to start shouting "AI! AI! AI"
Seems psychosis-y to me
At least I gave some real feedback about pricing and material quality. Look at the comment section, people on this sub's brains break when they see a quick draft that used AI even when OP is clear that it's not what the van would actually look like in reality.
anothercar
Thanks for proving my point about the psychosis lol. have a good weekend
anothercar
Yup, figured as much. Hope you can dial in pricing.
anothercar
Yup. And you misused the "boot" meme. So here we are.
anothercar
You don't even know what you mean by that. Lazy reply.
I'm right by the way. There's a sweet spot for flip flop pricing. Too cheap and people will think they're shoddy construction. Too expensive and people will skip the purchase.
anothercar
I could see this doing well if you sell at the beach, but it depends on material quality and pricing for the flip flops. Without knowing how much you'll charge, it is hard to say how popular this would be.
Also this is a local subreddit where people have AI psychosis, so a majority of the replies here are going to be people who think they're special & want a cookie for noticing that you used AI rather than MS Paint to generate a first-draft rendering of what the van could look like.
anothercar
Does your workplace offer charging in the parking lot? That is another option to explore.
Public chargers can easily run just as expensive as gasoline per mile, so you lose all the cost benefits of driving an EV. Not to mention the time benefits. They're best for road trips.

Those are small-potatoes compared to the serious issues that San Diegans consistently prioritize (Affordability, Cost of Living, and Housing).
Not to say they don't matter at all... but seriously, the only things that significantly matter to your typical San Diegan are: Affordability, Cost of Living, and Housing.
Gloria has been good on those 3 items and that is why he is a good mayor. Sure you can nitpick around the edges but other issues just don't poll nearly as important when voters are polled.

Hinge? Bumble? Tinder?
anothercar
I know exactly what your views would have been when elevators were automated.
anothercar
They have remote people to alter geofences if the vehicle gets in a bind. That's not driving the car. That's an extreme corner case where they help the car decide how to move without physically taking it over.
anothercar
Unrealistic
anothercar
I hope this will lead to fewer crashes. Data so far is promising.

Just steal one from Target

I hope the news publishes his name widely once a conviction is secured.

SDUT also puts out a guide, but people on this sub freak out whenever there’s any kind of paywall to help pay for career journalists to actually spend paid time compiling stuff. So I’ve stopped linking to them here. It’s only free slop written by underpaid interns from now on. Reddit-approved.
Hopefully if we approve lots of projects, these things add up. You also didn't include second-order consequences of having more jobs. Reddit's always telling me that it's hard to find work these days. Would be pretty great if SD had tons of construction opportunities popping up all the time! Workers earn income and spend that money on goods and services in the City of SD. Imagine if instead of NIMBYs rejecting new promising opportunities all the time, we had new offices, housing, data centers, warehouses, etc being built on a monthly basis in San Diego. That's a constant stream of work for San Diegans who could use the money!
