Turning the power to the wall connector off and on again seems to have resolved the issue. No idea what causes this so I expect to see it again.
anthonyocon
Yep, my first check was the app version and there was an update but it didn’t seem to fix the issue. Good advice, though, thanks.

Turned power to the wall connector off and on again. Seems to have resolved it but the cause is not clear.
anthonyocon
Wifi is a Unifi network of APs with strong signal near the connector so I don’t think it’s that. Turning connector power off and on again seems to have resolved it.
anthonyocon
Yeah, I restarted the wall connector and it shows charging correctly now. I’ll put a post it note to remind myself next time. Thanks.

It’s not a Tesla vehicle so the charger is set to any electric vehicle. It was working fine until a day or so ago.
anthonyocon
Sorry, should have said it’s not a Tesla vehicle.

I would email the support UK support team. The dealers may be the last to know but there is definitely a solution to this problem. Don’t give up.

Atto 3 in Australia. There is a wire harness upgrade kit that you need BYD to fit for you. Some software changes, too. Cost is about A$360. Tell them to go find out about it. Works with superchargers now.

Interesting. I would have encouraged students to demonstrate skills like this at any point in their final dive as long as they showed confidence. Learning skills while neutrally buoyant is challenging but I guess if they are experienced divers, then it makes sense. I haven’t been teaching for quite a few years.
anthonyocon
Oh, my mistake. Buoyancy is a bit all over the place for experienced divers. I’m a bit surprised.

Open water students trying to maintain trim is more than difficult enough without getting them to do mask skills. Mask skills should always be done on the bottom in shallow water, progressively, until the student is comfortable and demonstrates confidently. If you have to do skills that involve remove equipment (mask, reg), in less than ideal conditions, the instructor should be in front of the student, arms length with a hold of their BC shoulder strap. Also everyone else needs to be within the instructors field of vision to quickly identify and respond to difficulties before they become a panic ascent. If you’re doing a deep course with twins or side mount, sure, pull off the divers mask at the safety stop and have them sort it out either way their backup. But open water students, no.

Thanks for the advice.

Is there a good test site that you know of?

If you can identify specific source URLs for the annoying ads, you can add the URL to the PiHole domain management page as an exact deny.

I think I figured it out (although it's always a good idea to wait a couple of days to see that it's stable). I had checked on Split DNS but after reading the instructions for Wireguard config yet again, I noticed that I should have entered the VPN DNS address in the IPv4 DNS Server field and removed the entry in DNS Serves via Tunnel (not very intuitive but that would explain why I wasn't getting the right, or indeed any, DNS server when the tunnel was up). Lastly the SPI Firewall seems to have been blocking DNS traffic for some reason so I disabled that.
anthonyocon
That's what I thought but it doesn't seem to work. On the device with the fixed IP address, if I specify the router as the DNS server, it either times out or takes a long time to resolve the query (so that's why I though it was trying to use the VPN DNS servers first, then falls back to the static DNS servers).
If I set a public DNS on the device (so in the device's network setting) to bypass the router DNS entirely, it seems to be blocked by the router and the request times out. I also tried Split DNS in Wireguard configuration, setting the DNS for devices that are not routed down the VPN to 9.9.9.9, but that also timesout. I feel like I'm missing something here just not sure what it is.
anthonyocon
It’s more cosmetic, hiding cables behind the display. It might give a marginal improvement to reduce wind on the helmet on the open road but I prefer twisties anyway :)
anthonyocon
It’s an OEM part so Indian dealer. Not sure if they would have these any more now that the FTR is discontinued and the company sold.
anthonyocon
Yes, got the ATTO 3 harness change a few weeks ago and can confirm it works with Tesla superchargers. Call your BYD dealer and they should be able to schedule the work. $360.
Are you running DD-WRT or similar? Do you have access to the setting that says Route IPs via VPN? And can you see a setting that says Split DNS?
