Is your fridge a hexagon?!

I grew up near the area, I both can and can’t believe it’s still not sold! It’s a very strange looking house on a main road surrounded by nice historical houses, some that were part of the Hampton court estate. It certainly wouldn’t be my first choice out of all the other options!

I see you and I relate to this hard. My 2nd is about to turn 1, my oldest has just turned 3, I genuinely can’t remember the first 8 months of my daughter’s life. My son still sleeps in bed with us, my daughter was just in her room. I feel sad every damn day that I couldn’t give my 2nd what I gave my first.

We have a north facing garden and kids. We moved this summer and actually commented on the fact that a south facing garden in these summers would be awful - as it was we had to get a little beach tent for the baby as other than the patio we didn’t have any shade until about 6pm. I think it completely depends on the garden itself!

Husband works full time, I’m on maternity leave but go back part time, so 3 days a week = kids in nursery for 3 days. Either I don’t go back to work and save the childcare fees, or go back to work part time and earn just over what we pay for nursery. I work for the NHS so I need to return to work or else I have to pay back my maternity pay, so part time makes the most sense, whilst also letting me be ‘me’ and progress my career.

Same! She was lovely. Waiting for a prescription and follow up now, fingers crossed.

Rogue.. I can’t be the only one that saw Rogu at first glance and thought nobody’s naming their child after Roger’s weird twin spawn thing off American Dad 😅

I’ve been qualified for 6 years now, would you mind letting me know how you made the switch or what you looked for? Interested in what project management entails, but just worry that an employer would rather an experienced project manager over a nurse changing careers. I loved working in an office, I love being around others at work but I am so, so burnt out on the ward and looking at every available exit plan!

I named my baby Cleo :)

I’m on maternity leave at the moment so thankfully that’s not too much of a concern. I do have plans with some mum friends and their kids tomorrow, so I’m thinking I should just start on Friday when I know I’m not needed anywhere. Thanks for the tip, looks like I need to learn some patience haha

The way I’ve been sat here anxiously awaiting replies! 🤣

Ahh thank you, this is really encouraging. I just want to do something different, have more autonomy and leave behind shifts/unsocial hours etc. I’m so over the cliques and politics on the wards and I want to switch paths before I give up on nursing altogether.

I will definitely send you a message if you don’t mind!

Jumping on to say that CBeebies is pretty good, my toddler is full on obsessed with Hey Duggee which is just generally lovely to watch, on the more educational side he watches Numberblocks and he likes to watch the Nick Cope Popcast for ‘chill time’ which is just a load of songs! All British accents!

I had no idea about this! Thank you!

This is exactly what my son did too!

We are first time buyers buying a house from a lady moving into a retirement property too. She is leaving white goods, garden furniture, some garden pots and a lawn mower. We were happy for her to leave it all for us to replace as and when we can, but atleast we have some bits and bobs to get started with! That’s how we looked at it anyway :)

Mortgage application on 20/10, valuation on 25/10 and ‘report received’ text same day, mortgage offer on 31/10. We’re straightforward first time buyers, so it may be different for you, but nationwide have been very quick throughout the process so far! It shouldn’t be too long :)

Extreme fatigue, like falling asleep at work, and round ligament pain. This is my 2nd so as soon as I felt the pain I had a pretty strong hunch!

Must everything be ‘mama’ now?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Applied for a mortgage with Nationwide on 20/10, valuation done on 25/10 and mortgage offer received on 31/10. Granted we were quite a straight forward application, but still impressed with how quick the turnaround was.

£1350 with an online conveyancer - I can track everything via a portal and all documents are done online!

The awful lip over lining is just before she gets her lips done again, so no one can tell.

anxiouspuddle

Nope. It’s a thing! It was used multiple times in my antenatal class on how to feed your baby.

The only thing my son loves more than his toy kitchen is his toy vacuum so, I’d love to hear their thoughts on that! You do you, kids love to imitate us, anyone who sees this as something deeper is a grade A moron.

As a mum to a son, I noticed this too.
