This is how I feel watching New Zealand rugby players do their haka thing. It’s not cool or intimidating, you just look stupid. Makes me cringe.

When Dr Grant gets out of the jeep to wave the flare at the tyrannosaurus. It stops what it’s doing, looks up at him, and roars. Immediately after that, all you hear is the roar echoing eerily off the surrounding forest/hills and it’s such a chillingly awesome little moment.

Another one just before that which I just thought of… There’s a shot after the Rex first escapes its enclosure where it’s nudging against Grant and Malcolm’s vehicle with its head, and it’s the animatronic. Then the camera pans down to a back seat perspective over their shoulders and the Rex walks towards the first car when Lex starts flashing the light. It’s such a cool shot incorporating both the physical animatronic and the CGI in one smooth action and it’s seamless.

Amazes me the number of people that seemingly cannot possibly go 45 minutes without a drink.

Endless Ocean 2 remains to this day peak GG content to me. My favourite playthrough they’ve ever done, and I’m still sad it never continued. I still find it the most funny and quotable series they’ve ever done.

That we’re all posh and polite and sissy nancies. Any time someone from another country (usually America) talks about the UK they seem to assume we all walk around in top hats with buck teeth talking like characters out of Blackadder. I blame Family Guy in more recent years for that. I also kinda blame Monty Python. As much as I think stuff like Holy Grail is hilarious, they used to always have characters with stupid whiny high-pitched “posh” voices and that’s the prevailing voice you hear when Americans do impersonations of British accents.
Pisses me off that the rest of the world seems to think of us as a bunch of prissy wimps.
