i would go multimod for modulation flexibility and granular exploration and tempi for rhythmic looping. rhythmic looping can be achieved with multimod as well but not as easy to dial in specific rhythms
atoneontail
super sick - love the crunchy drums - very curious how you arrived at those timbres
atoneontail
agreed. move to a city with a good music scene. find the bands in the city you like. ask to open up for them. or find a promoter throwing a night you think is cool. ask to play it. make friends. grow your community. play more shows, get new fans. go on tour, get new fans. its a grind but absolutely worth it

then you call animal control. dont hit the damn animal
atoneontail
yep. stregas in two months i hear. pick up a second hand one if you really need it now. best of luck

Libra Legio and 4ms LEQA are the best stereo compressor. Libra Legio is dark and crunchy
atoneontail
then maybe Kick 3?
atoneontail
amazing - thanks again for sharing. gonna try this myself

really appreciate this. I have been curious about the Function as well. Would love to hear more on how you’re patching/utilizing the Hold input. What kind of modulation sequences are sending into it and where are they going? thanks
atoneontail
thanks for insight! are you still able to have a long Sustain with out a long Gate?
atoneontail
sounds sick. would love to read a patch break down

i remember seeing somewhere, maybe it was in youtube live chat that they were running into supply/shipping issues causing delays in fulfillment.

better venues with better sound systems. is there a single one with a function one?
atoneontail
the hard truth is that you are probably 1%-5% of the audience. The other 95% is off their rocker or more concerned about the hot girl/guy next to them than what you are doing on stage. Most artists realize this after a few tours. They realize it's not worth bringing 10k-20k worth of gear from city to city for a $3k-$5k pay check (most of the time less). At most major festivals, you don't get to sound check. You get a 15-minute to 30-minute line check. CDJs can be backlined and usually work every time. Less stress on you and the team. Especially if a majority of the audience doesn't give a shit.

i think it was always corporate music and craft beers felt like venture cap

38 here, honestly thought the same. This era was cringe asf for so many people. it had the feeling that basic people were being sold a culture and for a brief moment thought they were cool and on to something. honestly disappointing to see that anyone on here thought this was cool at the time.

nothing sounds quite like it. Modulating through the waveform section is where this unit shines. But i will admit I sold mine and kept the Spectraphone
atoneontail
can we get a patch breakdown?
atoneontail
yeah i think this is the way, that or a skiff under each case
atoneontail
lol also in the same dilemma. im not sure what to do myself either. ive ended up just making self contained systems/cases and only using one system/case at a time.
they’ve mentioned on their YouTube channel new cases are coming this next month. I believe it will just be an updated 7U 104 with the new 8 channel CV Bus
so what are we all lookin for? something like a 20U 104 case with multiple zone powers in it?
atoneontail
very nice use of the GTE
atoneontail
we will have to share some demos on here. Im very interested to hear what other achieve with this module. It feels unpredictable, which i love. Turn a knob and be inspired.

couldn’t resist and preordered
yes u can. get ableton. to make a beat with it, i would create all the drum sounds individually with it, then sequence and program them in ableton. then create a bass patch and record the bassline. get a beatstep pro to sequence it with ableton being the master clock. then your set for music making
