of überhaupt weten wie die man nou eigen is (spoiler: nee)

Curious on your thoughts about how this is "mildly misleading at most":
Researchers interviewed by Reuters said those figures are highly misleading because they are based on the unrealistic assumption that every U.S. vehicle, including freight trucks and crash-prone motorcycles, would be replaced by an FSD-enabled Tesla car – and that every Tesla car is, in fact, at least seven times safer than the one it replaces.
The Reuters examination also found Tesla exaggerates the technology’s safety by comparing a rate of crashes in FSD-piloted Teslas that triggered airbag deployments to a U.S. crash rate for all vehicles that includes far less-severe accidents. The company also compares its cars to the average U.S. vehicle – which is much older than the average Tesla. That distorts the results because automakers have gradually introduced new safety features that reduce crashes.
Because the way I see it, it's apples to oranges.

Had a lot of LLM-comments caught in our spam filters long ago, now the bot changed formats and just always has the same style replies of 1 paragraph that contains a lot of words but says very little.
They never ask any clarifying question, it's always just spewing bot noises

Since you mentioned you are C-suite, I can tell you with 99% assurance that you actually know very little about the actual implementation, simply because you are c-suite now, I presume you didn't just get there in the last 5 years.
[...]
Sorry this is long,
You start off with a false presumption and it indeed is too long. So I didn't read it.
If you want to engage in a debate about this topic, sure, but with walls of text like this that's not going to happen.

Although this is /r/manufacturing, I'm C-suite at a software engineering company nowadays. I know the subject.
Given that for AI commands and data are intertwined, PI is by definition a security risk. It's a direct consequence of how these tools work.
PI would be irrelevant if you set it up properly, permissions, security etc.
The 'S' in 'AI' is for security.
If you don't give it permissions, it can't do the assigned tasks. If you do give it permissions and there's any way for users to get their input in the AI's context, there's an inherent risk of prompt injection. You can limit the fallout by not giving the permissions and doing human review on its actions, so that it can only build a queue of suggestions rather than taking actions itself, but that also greatly reduces the (alleged) benefits and still requires human oversight.
AI is one of the worst things happening in the world right now, and people underestimate the impact. Mental health issues, energy use, land use, filter bubbles, security risks, you name it. Hardware prices going up limits consumer access to democratized technology, increasing dependence on the big tech companies. Detoriating skills in problem solving and analysis, why read a stack trace if you can copy-paste it in your LLM? The massive reduction in junior hires which will cause a shortage of mediors-seniors in the coming years. AI is making humanity set itself up for failure.
The only boon is that our company is getting more and more projects to fix the mess left behind by overzealous AI implementations.
Either way, too many billions have been spent on it, it's not going anywhere for a very long time at the very least.
Which shows our current system is unfathomably broken.
