Do you then reimport and do a final check or do you trust reapers normalization for the most part?

I think when getting your foot in the industry and starting to work location matters an insane amount. LA or New York are still the main hubs for post production. Once you are 5 to 10 years in and people trust you enough to just send you things and make sure you send them back something great, location doesn’t matter for jack shit.

I was lucky enough to grow up in LA and still live here. I have gotten so many gigs by rubbing elbows with the directors and writers in the studios and then them on the side shooting me a message that they have jumped to a new show or project and they think that I would be a great fit.

If you already have a client base and are pretty much doing work from your place on your own and the client just sends you things, god speed! Get out and move wherever you want. But if you are still trying to get clients and work then I don’t think it would be a smart idea to move to a remote place where there isn’t much work.

That’s an insane take and making blanket statements like that is a bad idea and helps no one.

I feel like all that egg shell padding isn’t really going to do much for you sadly

audioflc

Do you have any samples of your mixes?

Sometimes also being part of a music scene helps a lot getting you started with bands and then expanding your catalog.

For recording? Pro tools all the way. It just makes sense in my brain so easily with the routing and the send.

But for sound design or making my own music in the daw ableton is unmatched.

Is there a trackball with bearing that’s you would recommend? I love the form factor of the expert mouse but stiction is literally a death sentence when I want to edit something fast.

interested! Send me a DM and we can talk more!

Thats a bummer, Why can't these places just stop being gross and clean up after themselves. Is that so hard?

If I’m not mistaken I know that the newest version of RX has something similar to what you are asking.

That’s a whole other layer on top of everything else. I want my kid to be a kid and not have worry whatsoever about that yet. Let them have a childhood not have to worry about politics.

I feel that the engineers that survive this culling and come out on the other side will be inundated with work because sadly to many engineers will have left the industry.

audioflc

Does location play a part in that anymore?

audioflc

I think the problem is that it’s taking you 2 hours to make one of the car models. That should not take you that long hence the inflated price. If I was making that cake I would price it out at around 100- 120 MAX.

We got a tough guy over here.
