I've heard that Greens campaigners find it much easier to convert One Nation voters compared to rusted on Labor voters. The party and Pauline are absolutely racist scum but I highly doubt most of the voters are. They're struggling ordinary people who are correctly disillusioned with the major parties and fell down the wrong rabbit hole. Greens support workers and want a world where no-one has to live in poverty, and massive corporations and billionaires pay their fair share to help ordinary people out, whether it's people who grew up here or people who came to Australia to seek a better life.

Kids with developing minds spend 5 days a week for 40 weeks a year in school. If you're not prepared to support students beyond just teaching the curriculum then don't become a teacher.

Ubuntu bad because snap packages.

Honestly as far as I see it the only reason China would go to war with us would be as part of a proxy war with America. We're better off without them and we have European allies if we need it. And we're pretty chill with most countries

Hey Adam,
How would The Greens attempt to solve Murdoch's near monopoly on news in the country and ensure a fairer media playing field with more room for independent and publicly owned journalism?

The teals aren't bought by billionaires. Their campaigns started for 'voices for (electorate)' groups to find people who will genuinely represent the community. Climate 200 isn't buying them. These people already cared about the environment and gender equality because that's completely normal. Paid for? Yes, but it's a good thing. A organisation with cash to spare giving non-partisan candidates a leg up in a rigged system

As far as I know theyvoteforyou is only federal. Do similar sites exist for state MPs, cuz I was looking for one leading up to the Qld election?

Dutton thinks teal voters are disillusioned liberal voters, but they're not. 1 in 5 swung from libs, but apparently most teal voters are progressive people voting tactically cuz they know the independent has the best chance. So he's not going to win them back. I agree with OPs prediction, Labor-Lib swing voters will have a massive impact

We have separation of powers, with the 3 branches on government being legislative, executive and judicial. The legislative branch is the parliament and technically you're correct that they could just operate without abiding by those conventions. However the executive branch (the public service) is run by ministers so these positions need to be filled.
Literally what I'm saying. Both are bad. Religious extremism is in fact really bad. No-one is arguing against that (except maybe religious extremists). I'm just saying that's not a justification for Islamophobia, just like Zionists committing a genocide doesn't justify antisemitism.
