I was driven mad by the iOS autocorrect before realizing it was using the apps I had installed to (aggressively) inform its autocorrect

It would change “20” to “2.0” because I had an app with “2.0” in its name and would change “50” to “5-0” because of a police scanner app I had. The rage I felt when I discovered that was the cause… Why would anyone at Apple think that’s a good idea? Why should “5-0” from “5-0 Radio Pro Police Scanner” take precedence over the literal number “50”?

Anyway, maybe you have an app with “OSS” in its name? Worth checking, especially if you’re on iOS. The only other way I’ve found to fix terrible autocorrect habits is completely resting it, which can be done in settings app > general > transfer or reset iPhone > reset > reset keyboard dictionary.

Yes, I’m just saying they are pushing the limits in that particular event.

Nah, what people mean is there’s a moment where it looks like he realizes she is filming him towards the end of the video, after she adjusts her phone in a way that makes it a lot more obvious she is filming and not just using her phone normally, and he continues molesting himself instead of stopping.

I feel like they should just give a time limit to the carry. If you can set up well enough to execute the sky noon with a short timer then maybe you’ve earned it, getting perma flight makes it completely brainless to setup.

Subs can toggle a setting that will collapse certain comments based on certain criteria. The setting is called “crowd control” and it will collapse comments based on the karma of the profile for this particular sub, if they are subbed here, and if their account is relatively new. I find it a really annoying setting, personally.

You just long press the hyper on iOS to get an em dash. And you just long tap and drag the space bar to move the cursor, it works well. The autocorrect is atrocious though.

Yup, I love using em dashes as a way to avoid having a ton of parentheses but it is annoying that now people think that’s means I’m an AI. I’ll still do it though. Alt-0151

I’ve never found it to be a problem tbh. I already indent the same way when working in languages that use brackets or whatever else.

Not sure what makes it harder to read tbh, I have my editor display vertical lines to show the current indentation level so maybe that’s why. If anything I find pairing brackets easier to mess up than indentation level but really I find both to be fine and of little consequence. The only thing that is annoying to me is someone doing weird and inconsistent formatting with brackets because brackets allow that to be possible.

Engaged with what she was saying instead of repeatedly telling her she wasn’t shouting, since that was not what she was pointing out. Perhaps it is normal to feel like you’re shouting when you’re not used to that level of volume, that would make sense to me but I’m not sure given that she said he sounded normal. Either way, it would’ve been nice if he explained that and talked about that rather than repeatedly telling her she is not shouting in a somewhat rude tone.
