I think the whole process was less than $800? This was almost 4 years ago, in California, and covered by my insurance. It was also through an organization similar to planned parenthood.

I’m quite happy that I was able to get the procedure done. I don’t want to have kids, never have wanted kids, and now it’s just not something I ever need to worry about.

If, for some reason, I ever did change my mind and want to be a parent, I’d much rather adopt. There are already so many kids on this planet that need a home, and I’d rather help one of them out than create something new.

This honestly sounds a lot like an ex boyfriend of mine. He eventually became emotionally, verbally, and kind of physically abusive. He isolated me from my friends and to some extent family over the course of several years. Living with someone that insecure and who does multi-day silent treatments was miserable and it took me a long time after the relationship ended to regain my sense of self.

Same… I’ve gained 10 pounds in the past three months, almost 25 pounds in the past 3ish years. Not sure how to stop and reverse it before it’s too late…
