You have the benefit of being able to demonstrate (by reference to the recording) that you were being critical of unflattering racial stereotypes

The accent is the killer I'm afraid. Without that, what you said was almost admirable

If you aren't a member of a trade union, you might want to join one asap, or speak to a solicitor. The nuance is beyond Reddit's pay grade

Either way I'd be very worried that they simply find a way to get rid of you for something else to the point you should start polishing up your CV

Just ring your councillor and ask for help

badgerbadger1988

This right here

I've seen markers on a hire car before - for months

I'm certain they'd choke if they tried eating crayons

badgerbadger1988

I don't think Keith would be able to see out a 5 year term so I'm happy to vote Labour

It helps that Rebecca Long Bailey is my local MP

badgerbadger1988

Contact turn2us and see if they have any advice

If you aren't fussed about the money, might you be unwell at the time you have requested off?

Lots of companies do online consults for sick notes for around £15

The stress of not getting your leave approved might be sufficient...

badgerbadger1988

You can Usually pay for video consults yourself for around £15 if yoj really want to protect yourself

badgerbadger1988

Perhaps you could do a subject access request to the email provider in order to establish whether it was delivered or not?

badgerbadger1988

Have you ever made an art room for your best friend?

badgerbadger1988

I mean considering she is already out of the home, it might be a good idea to cancel any overdraft facility you jointly have access to and tell her not to come back.

The actual logistics of getting her out of the house and back to her parents might be difficult, not to mention the cost

Make a list of all assets and debts, what is you're, what is hers and what is joint. The default position is it's split 50/50 but there's nothing to stop you coming up with your own arrangement with her

Citizens advice may be able to help you here

If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck...

badgerbadger1988

Can't smell anything if you never open the door/window

badgerbadger1988

But in the UK, the Crown passes automatically, there is no way to 'accept'

Others have mentioned impeachment - could someone be impeached for something wholly outside their control (unless they had lied about their place in the line of succession during an election)

badgerbadger1988

I'd suggest to action fraud that they contact them then

badgerbadger1988

What about persons with significant control?

badgerbadger1988

It would be "someone applied for credit".

Have you checked companies House that this company does exist and you are listed as a director?

It should also name the shareholders with 'significant control'

badgerbadger1988

This is probably awful advice but as long as you have sufficient signage is there anything to stop you putting the videos on Facebook and tagging them/their parents?

badgerbadger1988

Looks like they didn't read what they were signing, funny how it works when the shoe is on the other foot... I'd suggest posting this on r/antiwork if you want a laugh

badgerbadger1988

Yes, all sorts of issues here, sexual assault, inability to consent...

In terms of compensation, can you actually enforce it? Do you know her full name? Does she have any assets?

badgerbadger1988

In no particular order...

Peaks and troughs - in terms of workloads and stress levels. It's the nature of the job, especially if it involves litigation. You have to be prepared for that.

It's draining. It's difficult. I'm not saying it's better or worse than any other profession, but each day is like an exam. Sometimes she won't want to talk or watch a documentary or discuss politics etc, just rest.

People in law generally get promoted due to technical expertise, which means that she'll have to deal with colleagues and supervisors who have zero social or managerial skills. That is draining, it can be stressful, it can cause anxiety. It will impact you.

And I guess the biggest problem is that you can do everything right and still lose. She'll have to learn to deal with that and so will you.

I guess the biggest thing for you is that it isn't you that's caused any of these problems - it's the job. Remember that

"sorry, I've just taken a laxative!"

Most calls would end at that point
