Oh, You wrote Dumberer because you were talking about formatting. Makes sense. So what about social media? Anything in particular? Maybe it isn’t intellectually challenging? Huh. It certainly seems to be psychologically challenging. Probably wouldn’t help academic type development. And it seems pretty widely believed that it’s harming their interpersonal/social development offline. Again, probably not an overall positive impact. Funny enough, taking away social media is linked to improved outcomes in all those categories. It’s almost like if you get forced to turn off the easy brain candy you grow and develop. Interesting.

You mean like on OnlyFans, bruh?

Mr Chomsky?
badjoeybad
So which is it? They want status and to stand out? Or to conform and do what everyone else does? And how do you propose this connects to academics/education/intelligence?
badjoeybad
Or you measure by standardized testing. Potato, tomato.

The issue is that even compost doesn’t persist in its active state. We get rain from thanksgiving to st Patrick, maybe Easter sometimes. So summer and fall are bone dry and nothing in the compost can last. But one of the planters that gets spray from the lawn sprinklers does stay moist, and between that moisture, the compost I added, afternoon shade and constant leaf fall I’ve got decent looking soil and some worms there. Trying to mimic that. Going to add some drip lines and hope to bring worms to a place they can kickstart things.

Thx!
badjoeybad
Thanks. I got some drip line for the planters so I’ll play around with the timing and try to keep it moist but not soaked.
badjoeybad
already added a few yards of compost. its right there in the post. so that doesnt help at all with an answer to my questions about worms.
badjoeybad
I could never do this. I’d end up crashing the bus, blinded by my tears of laughter

thorns on marion arent really a problem for us. for any berry plant i take a 2x4 and rip in half so its 2x2. notch one end into a V or point and drive it into soil so its roughly head high(5-6ft). as the vines grow i tie them up around the pole. ( a few screws or nails are helpful to tie off your wire/rope) then when they get head high i snip the ends. that way you're not reaching deep into the vines to pluck. kids just walk right up and pluck them with no problems. takes up less floor area too since we're in the city.

have them as well. first year, morning midday sun then afternoon shade. coastal climate so never gets hot hot. bland. will give it one more season. olallie and boysen the same mostly, kind of sour without the sugars to make sweet-tart. by contrast, marion is the queen. robust harvest. wonderful flavor. even when we had a fairly cold/cool year. will likely just end up letting the marions take over eventually

without some sample data its hard to say. the easiest would just be a subtotal of a column. so for instance, your daily data enters into col A. you create a formula that translates the daily data in A to a binary result in col B, i.e. either 1 for yes or 0 for no. you run subtotal on col B down to row 99999 and you should be set to have a tally of all your instances.

I had one as a teen and loved it. No idea what they’re like now though but I assume they’ve been improved.

SoCal for us - so needs to include surfboard in corner, a pile of flip flops at the door with at least 1/3 them orphans, plastic tub with smelly wetsuit at back door, beat up Thomas Bros map book, “SEX WAX” poster, old couch with dog hair and abandoned scrunchies, blown-glass bong, tiki punch bowl full of cheap sunglasses, and at least one random empty cup from Taco Bell.
Sorry to burst your pontification bubble but there’s no blame placed. Thou dost protest
