I’m sorry this has happened to you. I have something slightly different and equally weird in my 1912 house and after two full years of trying to come up with a solution I finally just decided we’re gonna live with it. I was very nervous about my daughter when she was born but she’s almost 4 and never fell, she just learned to be careful right off the bat. Im sure to her they seems like the most normal stairs in the world lol

Thank you for posting this! We were #13 on the waitlist for our community school (expo) due to a huge number of siblings applying this year. I stalked the placement center to get real-time info on which schools were not yet on a waitlist and continued submitting applications to those until we finally just got her a spot at the Early Childhood Hub on Charles. It wouldn’t have been in my top choices but it sure beats paying another $18k for daycare this year!

If anyone knows anything about the hub I would love to hear your experience, everyone in my neighborhood sends their kids to Expo or Randolph Heights and I don’t know any other parents in St. Paul

Since this thread still comes up in google searches I want to clarify that “as long as you apply before the deadline you should be good” can actually give a false sense of security. Siblings, low income and special needs kids will all get priority over an only child without those qualifiers. I read a figure that said about 70% of kids who apply get a spot. My daughter didn’t get into our community school due to a large number of siblings which was pretty heartbreaking for us, we always imagined she’d catch the bus with all her little friends on our block but that’s not how it worked out. What I did do was call the placement center to find out which schools were not on a waitlist and continued submitting applications to those until we finally got her a spot. The school is not nearby and I never would have chose it, but it beats paying another $18000 for daycare this year. If your kid gets waitlisted don’t give up!

…why not just buy him a cd player??

Agreed, I would NEVER put tret on this. I would follow a super sensitive protocol + antifungal protocol with no actives, no foaming cleanser, and only sulfate free toothpaste until this is completely healed. Then and only then would I consider tret. If I were going to put anything on it that would be Cicalfate and that’s IT until it heals.

This is one of the most important Reddit comments of all time

Thank you!

My three year old daughter just held it for 36 hours (the last 9 of those hours were spent in the emergency room) so it is possible. She had 350ml of urine, almost 3 times what the supposed max for someone her size is. She finally peed while they were trying to get a catheter in

Ah I see, yeah who knows. I'll definitely be stirring any new one i receive, but it's definitely annoying considering I don't have to open and stir any of my other creams, prescription or otherwise.

beexsting

For what it's worth mine has never been exposed to any unusual temps and I was left with a container half full of product that was the consistency of cold butter or chapstick. It sounds like you have a great plan though, please let us know how it works out!

beexsting

I just posted earlier today about having this same plan, curious if they told you what the correct dose for one pump is supposed to be (in either grams or ml?)

beexsting

My reasoning for the aluminum tube rather than the syringe is that the product has a history of separation in the pump dispenser, if it's in the tube it could be massaged every so often to keep it properly mixed. I kind of suspect that the separation is due to the mechanism of the pump and that it wouldn't separate inside a syringe, but the tube seemed like the most reliable workaround. Syringe would be ideal though if separation isn't an issue, if you do this please keep us updated!

beexsting

It's funny you say that, because this is how I concluded that message:

"I should not have to play pharmacist in my own home to ensure I’m getting the correct dosage."

So far they have written back saying that they do not recommend moving the product to a tube and will not tell me what the correct dosage is by weight because they "need to maintain their high product standards", but then proceeded to tell me that we should be opening up the dispenser and "giving it a good stir" to maintain the consistency. In my view, the more times we're opening it up and exposing it to air, stirring it with who knows what tool, and then closing the germs back inside to keep using for another couple months the more opportunities for something to start growing in there. Better in my view to try to keep the process as sterile as possible just once and then be able to keep it a closed system from there on out.

beexsting

I own a highly sensitive scale and sent a message today that I want to know the exact dosage by weight so I can feel confident that I'm getting the correct dose. Neither of the two dispensers I've had so far have given the same amount consistently, and both have eventually separated. I will update with you with the correct dosage weight!

beexsting

It has nothing to do with temperature, please stop writing this everywhere. All of us have been saying we store our cream in air conditioned homes and still experience this issue.

beexsting

Wow! I just sent an email of this exact situation and am waiting for a response from the clinical team, but in the spirit of transparency, here is an excerpt from my message to them regarding the separation issue:

"I’ve had ongoing issues with the dispensers as you’ll see in my account. I also know that many, MANY other women experience these dispenser issues. The air bubbles exist throughout the product and ensure you cannot get a consistent dose. MORE IMPORTANTLY, I want to note that the product got thinner as the amount in the dispenser got lower. When it finally appeared that the pump was empty I opened it up and there was a ton of product left but the remainder was super thick, a texture comparable to cold butter. My symptoms (especially bleeding, water retention, breast tenderness and weepiness) got worse as this separation went on, but I didn’t put two and two together until opening it and realizing the product had separated. My guess is that the estrogen was concentrated into the watery part that was still being dispensed, and that the thick base that was being left behind in the dispenser either had the progesterone in it, or at least was not present in what was being dispensed to balance the dosage to the proper levels. Months ago before starting Oestra I had scheduled a romantic getaway with my husband for this past weekend, which is when I should have been ovulating. I spent the entire 5 days bleeding, experiencing crazy edema, and crying at the drop of a hat. On the last day of the trip I realized the product had been separating. I opened a fresh dispenser of the product and applied that last night, and my bleeding is starting to slow down."

I'll update with their response! They need a pharmacist on staff, point blank period. As sweet as Barry is we can't really have someone just speculating about what might be going on with a product that has serious implications on our health.

When we were living in an apartment in Los Angeles we had this same situation with a stray we fell in love with that lived on our property. We couldn’t leave her and brought her with us to the house we bought in the Midwest. The life expectancy for an outdoor cat is quite short, and we knew we could give her a good life. No regrets :)

beexsting

I’d recommend just putting out dog food and lettinh him eat it when he’s hungry. The kibble you’re using is excellent btw. My mini sometimes will only pick at his meals or skips dinner, that’s just still sitting there for his breakfast the next morning. Unless you have some reason to believe he’s sick I would trust him to eat when he’s hungry and stop overthinking it.

beexsting

I did eventually find it, it was at 53% while I was holding it in my hand with my phone in the other. What’s frustrating was I was getting 50% readings 3 rooms away. Glad this worked for other people but I found it by pure luck

beexsting

Mine is chronically chill, we don’t even walk him

beexsting

My 3 year old still pees like a girl lol

beexsting

How close did you need to be? Every room of my house the percentage shows between 20% and 50%.. I’m getting 50% readings in areas that are nowhere near each other, but haven’t seen anything higher than that. Any tips?
