I'm not the one begging for karma on reddit on the wrong sub, then double down when informed of your error. Do you also push harder on a pull door when someone tells you to pull? It takes two seconds to look around and realize where you are. It took you longer to try and justify your mistake.

Then read the description for this sub, realize that's not what this one is for, then go to a karma farm sub, you dolt.

No, that's not what this sub is for.

Military special forces focus on a lot more than just hand to hand combat and grappling. They have a litany of other things they train in. A pure MMA fighter is focusing on just that.

Going solely by his background and not his exploits in Prehevil, which are informed by gameplay mechanics, Marcoh was a regional boxer in the late 1930s-early 1940s. He wasn't even on the world stage based on his background and had moved to underground boxing matches.

The only one he'd have a chance against is Jake Paul. Jake Paul is a dingus and gets tooled by boxers that are actually around his age, but he'd still have a chance against Marcoh. He's never trained or fought against the far more refined grappling and groundwork of MMA practitioners who are at the world stage, and they'd have little problem taking him down. Against a world-class heavyweight boxer like Anthony Joshua or Usyk, he wouldn't stand a chance and it would look closer to Paul vs Joshua did due to the vast valley in ring experience and training. There are so many variables like timing and distance that he'd be really far behind in that would give them the edge.

You need to read the description of this subreddit before posting next time. That's not what this sub is for.

No. This isn't what this sub is for.

This is a great breakdown of a discussion point I've been trying to articulate for over a decade. Thank you!

I don't know if that's what they were getting at (their comment was already deleted when I saw this. I think it's more the snap judgment by a lot of early replies that all stated "Tyson's too fast and strong, he KO's Foreman," which reads like people who have seen Tyson's highlight reels without actually having much boxing knowledge behind what they watched.

benry87

He wants sandwiches and tells you as much when you first meet him.

I had to check to see where we were, because most boxing fans would tell you prime Foreman would beat Tyson.

Prime Foreman was a different monster and he fed on hard-charging offensive boxers because his style was all wrong for them. He could control range with the jab, slow down aggressive boxers with the clinch, and out-wrestle most due to simply being bigger and stronger. Add to it that he feared no one and could not be intimidated (watch his fight with Ron Lyle to see two titans tear each other apart, and Foreman won that one). Tyson was told not to try and tangle with *old* Foreman because the fight was all wrong for him. Tyson was an animal who lived in a weak era of heavyweights and, when truly tested, came up short against boxers either lesser than Foreman or who could be considered his peers.

People don't understand how good Foreman actually was. He only lost to the absolute best in Ali and absolutely murdered the closest analogue that era had to Tyson in Joe Frazier. His cuddly bear persona when he came back was calculated and intentional. Before his retirement he was one of the boogeymen of boxing.

Watch Flameon_Miniatures do the crazy stuff he does without an airbrush and get back to us with that claim.

Patience and practice will take you everywhere in this hobby.

  1. You have to pick your battles because, as someone else said, there's no ethical consumption under capitalism. Pretty much everything you like has some degree of exploitation behind it.

  2. Some examples are a bit easier than others. For example, JK Rowling has explicitly said and shown that any money she makes off of Harry Potter can and will be used to advocate for laws that are directly harmful to trans individuals. She doesn't provide a necessary service, so refusing to buy or watch her stuff shouldn't be a huge moral dilemma, especially if you have trans friends, because what you're telling them otherwise is "You're my friend, but I'll give money to this woman that wants you dead because that's more important to me."

One Punch Man's 3 seasons are a study in how good animation direction, good workflows, and a skilled staff can make or break a show.

I get the vexation, but Romeo and Juliet started with two servants talking about killing the men of the rival family and taking the maidens' virginity, all through bawdy turn of phrase.

Juliet's nurse made a joke about a young Juliet falling on her front, saying she'll be more comfortable on her back.

Shakespeare has always had bawdy, low brow humor to keep the masses entertained, usually told by the servants or laborers (much like Timon and Pumbaa's characters).

I taught 9th grade English for 9 years, so I think that one. I'd be fine teaching US government since I did that for a year. I taught intro Journalism for five, so I could do that.

I also did Aikido for about five years, was a certified boxing coach for a little while, and I'm a commissioned miniature painter. So any of those?

Yuna from Breath of Fire IV. They're a geneticist for the evil and corrupt empire that performs atrocities on the people they capture, including utilizing a huge piece of artillery meant to kill gods that uses humans who have been tortured to breaking as ammunition, utilizing their feelings of rage and despair to power the weapon. This is used to try and kill the returned ancient Emperor by capturing a kind villager who saves him by torturing, killing, and utilizing her grief as ammunition to destroy a forest he was in, thus leading him to snap and decide humanity isn't worth saving.

A big part of the game is the protagonist helping a princess and her guardian locate her sister, whom they find has been heavily experimented on and is now, from the waist down, an eldritch abomination that is biologically fused with the castle who is still lucid and she begs for death from the one man who loved her.

The worst part? Capcom allegrdly ran out of time/money as they finished the game and, as part of a cost cutting measure, they dealt with Yuna by having them taunt the main party as they fled the palace, never to be seen again.

So, despite them being a major cause for everything bad that happens to everyone in the game, they exit the story by literally walking out of the exit.
