Yeah apparently I'm weird and live in an alternate reality, because I checked rooms in Burbank right now and took me a few seconds to find a dozen under $800.

According to people who are renting them out, it does.

I just did a quick search (took 10 seconds) and found multiple listings for under $1000 right now. Stop acting like prices have tripled in the past two years.

LA isn't even that bad in terms of UV. It takes me like 10 seconds to burn my toes if I go to the beach close to the equator.

Haha I work at a small company (no HR) and just yesterday had someone approach us at an event after watching our video on the screen that "Hey, that was an amazing video! I loved the angles and the lighting and editing and everything!"

I just stood there nodding, knowing that I was the person behind every single thing he mentioned while my boss was taking the credit for everything.

The first time was right after I bought the car. It was the faulty electronic chip on the ceiling that would connect to the satellite/SOS. The car was in the shop for days until they had the engineers in Germany ship it to the dealer.

The second time it was the engine mounts. I know that wouldn't be fun outside of warranty, but I'm not worried as I got the extended warranty until 2030. I might even sell the car before that expires.

I’ve owned mine for a year and a half. About 11k miles. So far:

$106 > oil change at the dealership

$1220 > 40k scheduled maintenance

Also 2 visits to the dealership for repairs that were covered under warranty.

I’m not a professional online editor. As far as I know, there should be a way to conform even in a messy situation such as this one.

No offense, but I also think that having duplicate file names is an incredibly amateurish thing to do. Whoever was in charge of DIT and editing did the real mistake here.

Having said that, you shouldn’t be able to see any loss of quality even after multiple transcodes of the ProRes. If you like the end results, I think it should be totally fine. It’s just a learning experience to have a solid naming structure and have clear communication and expectations when working with other people.
