And a certain councillor who was in office during that time, as well.
They all share responsibility. Nenshi didn’t arbitrarily and single-handedly continue to kick the can all on his own.
blackRamCalgaryman
Jesus, work on your reading comprehension. The way some of you people go about thinking you’ve caught someone in a ‘gotcha’ moment only by you putting words into people’s mouths.
They said it was likely provoked…but said nothing of it being justified.
blackRamCalgaryman
Ya, the more I think about it, I’d put my money on e-dirt bike use and this being a local homeowner or regular pedestrian on the path losing their shit.
blackRamCalgaryman
The size of one of those logs in pic 2…”tweakers” aren’t bringing that in.
This is either someone trying to fuck with cyclists or a cyclist advocate trying to stir shit up with the upcoming bike lane Province V. cities issue.
Or someone has lost their marbles at the electric dirtbike crowd.
blackRamCalgaryman
We live in a different time, where political/ ideological violence is all to real and far more common. When that shit starts off, you have no idea what the intentions are, what lengths some people are going to go to, anymore.
You think the people at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester or Eagles of Death Metal in Paris will ever be the same?
Easy enough to be critical in hindsight, but in the moment..ya, I bet it was scary for some.

Anytime, glad it’s sorted out for ya.

The list of people not forgiving Smith was long well before this separation nonsense.
But hey, at least NOW, post-wasting of everyone’s time and tax dollars, she’s admitting the UCP is a federalist party.
blackRamCalgaryman
Did they fully open the main shut off valve?
blackRamCalgaryman
Entirely uncalled for and gross…but you want anyone to blame, just look at the way people in this sub react when it comes to ‘shitty’ parking jobs…calls for vandalizing the vehicle, loosening tire fill valves, zip tying shopping carts to handles, etc
This sub rationalizes and normalizes shitty, petty, vindictive overreactions.

What’s the City’s short and long term plans regarding their use of AI? Is the City, its departments, CPS, etc scaling up use?
blackRamCalgaryman
Laying the ground work for him going to the public to justify the full budget ask of CPS.
And a little grandstanding, as well. He could just as easily post a news article but here he is, his mug front and centre…he knows what he’s doing.
blackRamCalgaryman
A 30’ fall and back up and running within an hour or two. The City isn’t fucking around with their completion date.
blackRamCalgaryman
Makes you wonder why, then, someone (supposedly) from the States is making such a huge, life-changing, move when it appears they have very limited knowledge.
blackRamCalgaryman
The cynic in me questions the validity of the post.

“Genuinely wanted to know what I’m getting into”
You didn’t research it before applying? Took a pay cut even though you had no idea? Didn’t you do interviews? Ask those questions at the time?
You have a sweet gig with a stable employer with a pension. Those jobs are pretty highly coveted, these days.
blackRamCalgaryman
You got a job a ton of people would give their left nut (or ovary) for. Humble brag post.
blackRamCalgaryman
That’s great. Glad it worked out for you and your mom. Have a good day.
blackRamCalgaryman
We know why.

blackRamCalgaryman
The one where I can read the post title.
blackRamCalgaryman
Uh huh.
Exaggerating bullshit.
blackRamCalgaryman
“one of”…but you said “every Walmart”
Exaggerating bullshit.
blackRamCalgaryman
Right. In Manitoba, they just burn the Walmart down.

“always homeless people camping at Walmart”..honestly, I have not noticed this ‘problem’ at all. Maybe you’re just exaggerating a little.
I suspect you won’t be able to continue using that graph (and as per usual with zero context or history) once the City’s budget is done and the Province’s numbers come in (which, you yourself, have said the premier has promised will be in line with inflation).
And “led by example” involved drawing on investment income and reserves to artificially reduce the tax hike from the over 3.5% it would have otherwise been, correct?
The City also cancelled the tax shift from business to residential, optioning for an 8 year plan…can kicking right there.
