Advice I was once given for dirt racing: First focus on finishing, then focus on finishing neatly, lastly focus on finishing quickly. 

I fished a lot of the nqld coastline as a kid  my advice is to move, lots.

If you're not catching fish in a handful of casts - move. You'll be amazed how many times you pepper the fishiest spot for twenty minutes and get two half-assed follow ups them move on to half a rock sitting in questionably deep water and catch something in two casts.

The biggest advantage of lure fishing, by far, is being able to cover a large area. Sometimes you need to change the way you think, rather than fishing until you're sure there's nothing around try just casting until you're sure there's nothing ravenously hungry, let someone else catch the fish that takes a ton of work, you just focus on the ones that will smash whatever is put Infront of them.

As a bonus you'll get to explore a lot more of the coast line too, it's a beautiful part of the world and coming home fishless is still a pretty good day.

It's a shit way to test for blow-by, unless the oil cap bounces off the underside of the hood the test doesn't really tell you anything. The problem is that air pressure changes in most heads are fairly normal so you can get a bouncing cap like that on a perfectly healthy engine. The inverse is also true though, sometimes you can have significant blow-by and not really tell by the oil cap trick. Your mates are giving out advice like it's the 90's, ignore them.

If you have actual cause for concern take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Otherwise enjoy the car, hiluxes are awesome.

Also the slows feel less and less relevant every year, like I remember when slowing someone by a million percent felt as good as a root, now there's so many movement spells/items and random saves or dispels that veno's slows don't feel relevant after the laning phase.

If they are genuinely grouping up as 5 and exclusively hunting you there's not much you can do. You can try farming aggressively and not showing at all on waves to make it hard to find you but other than that you're a passenger in this game.

Hopefully the rest of your team can utilise the space and pull ahead as the rest of your map should be extremely low pressure but if you've got ineffective team mates you might just be out of luck.

For what it's worth it seems like a shit strategy as they are just giving your offline, mid a ton of space (even your pos4 should be able to find farm)

Spamming regen is so strong as a pos 5, in hard lanes buying 2-3 extra sets of tangoes is oftentimes like having an extra hero, especially if you can tank a little harass and make space for your core. Just watch pros where even the cores are spamming tangoes in rough lanes

The earlier ones (pre 2009 I think) don't have ABS or TC.

With async trade and faustus currency it doesn't really matter if the economy is slowed even at the top end. If anything it gets easier because there's usually a lot of really cheap budget gear. I played last league right up to the end and never really felt the 'slow down'
