Glad you can enjoy it. Meanwhile I’ll continue deciding if I can skip going to see my mother again because I can’t afford the gas or if I can go another week without fresh groceries.

My one complaint would be that it’s a bit over simplified but also it’s really hard to model ecosystems accurately so I think they did a great job all things considered.

Did not realize that was a hot take. I’m studying ecology and absolutely love it.

Fall is like the most beautiful season here because of all the trees. Early winter and spring are really nice too (if you ignore the cold and the mud) but fall is really just perfect.

When i have the time and energy I try to change them every 2ish weeks mostly because my cats track litter in constantly. I really only do it when they get visibly dirty or just generally gross…

She hollers and goes limp for the most part. I did just have to break them up because he was trying to drag her by the side of her neck/throat. Honestly I’m starting to think most of it is just rough play. I’m not super used to cats. I knew that humping was common with dogs for the same reasons but I didn’t realize cats did it too. Apparently one of my roommate’s parents’ dogs used to play with him like that so he might’ve learned it from her. Cori gives as good as she gets I think I’m just worried because of the size difference.

Stress from not having their owner around might be exacerbating signs of dementia :( redirect when you can but honestly ignoring it may be the best option if you can’t. Let the owner know what’s going on in case a neighbors do complain. If it stops at night it probably won’t be a huge issue as long as it isn’t starting super early in the morning. I also find that most people don’t care as long as it’s not outside at butt o’clock.

Other good options are silkworms or Turkish runners. You should be able to find other good options at any reptile store. Some general pet stores carry other options that may be suitable. For occasional enrichment, mealworms are also fine. Of course, this is all optional so don’t stress yourself out if you can only find mealworms or crickets. It doesn’t need to be daily or even weekly to be beneficial!

The garg I’ve experienced won’t eat them. Feeding a powder feed is going to give them all the nutrients that adults need as long as you make sure they have the appropriate kind for their species and age. Bugs provide important enrichment by stimulating their hunting behaviors. If you can get yours to hunt live insects I highly recommend it. You can buy small amounts of dubias or other bugs if you don’t want to mess around with crickets (I highly recommend it as crickets/mealworms/waxworks are not the best feeders).

I’ve been playing through the career mode with few game breaking bugs except for some crashing when trying to move birds and an issue with animals disappearing into the ether when moving them to storage. Most other bugs and glitches are mostly visible and I haven’t had any issues with the larger bugs since the first updates. I’m very hopeful for how this game will continue to grow. I think people forget how restricted base game for the first one could be, especially early on. I am very disappointed with the launch, though. This is a trend with every major game nowadays and it’s so disappointing to see how little production companies care about the product they deliver. This is not an early access game. It should not have these issues on full release. I feel so bad for the devs of games like this and I hope they know that the negative reviews have nothing to do with the effort they put in and everything to do with shitty companies not giving them the time they deserved. I think the game is phenomenal and can’t wait to see how it improves. I hope frontier learns a lesson from this but I know they probably won’t.

I lost two lion cubs in the void. Could still assign them to a release group but couldn’t find them in storage, quarantine, or the habitat. Devastating when I realized I no longer needed them for said release group.

nevermind, it was because there was a 3rd red panda in the gifts storage that was preventing it. You know, in a species that can only have two in a habitat...

One of my regular clients, an older woman with a giant pittie/bully mix. She makes a big deal about how badly behaved he is and how she needs someone who can be firm with him. He turns out to be the sweetest thing, super well behaved and the only dog I trust off leash. Love both her and the dog to bits.

I used to play Disney soundtracks or listen to the radio when I was younger. Our brains just work differently and I think messing with something that works doesn’t make sense.

I find neutral white noise is very helpful. Even a box fan. Also various asmr cleaning or restoration videos on YouTube can help soothing. If it helps you sleep I don’t see a problem with it.

Thank you :) I identify as both a trans man and nonbinary because I don’t feel that i fit neatly into society’s gender roles but feel most aligned with masculine ones. Unfortunately I am very used to people’s attitudes towards people who use neutral pronouns because I used to use they/them. People treat you better when you present as binary :/
