Am I just reading LLMs talking to other LLMs?

That's some The Day After Tomorrow shit

Hey, props to you for putting that together! It makes sense to see it now, that would definitely be nifty if more audio editors displayed it that way.
bschwind
Do you have any visualizations on how an audio editor should look when you zoom in? You've got me curious. The editor should use a sinc interpolation to fill in the gap between samples, while maybe still drawing points where the actual samples go?

A full sized filco was my first mechanical keyboard, it had brown switches. I'm not a fan of the costar stabilizers, and it's not a hot-swap board, but overall it was decent! I cleaned mine up a bit, put in gateron pro silver switches, and have been trying to sell it but I'm in Japan where there is a huge variety of nice keyboards to buy from, so I can understand the lack of interest.

It's actually soul-crushingly boring. You'll end up inventing things to do, you don't really feel like you're part of a team, and time just drags on forever.

For anyone reading, I updated and so far it's running well. Took about 16 hours to index everything. We'll see how battery life is over the course of a few days.

I use my phone to listen to music and browse Reddit
Wow, software is so fucked if you can't play music and read some text for a full 24 hours. I know these phones are doing more stuff in the background but it blows my mind that we're all here doing the same things with our phones that we've always done and the hardware is getting more efficient, but we somehow still end up with the same meager battery lives.
Edit - you should also use old reddit, the "new" design is godawful for performance, and really everything.

I have a 13 mini as well, are you comparing the performance of iOS 27 to 26, or to an even older version? I'm on iOS 18 and am debating updating.

While something more pretty may come along in the future, rust seems to be the only language I really have to know.
I invested pretty heavily in learning Rust in 2015 when it hit 1.0 because of this. I've done embedded projects, graphics, CLIs, and servers. It's worked out nicely so far. I haven't done a serious frontend web project yet but I know dioxus and leptos are right there.

Really, not one comment referencing The Rehearsal?

Jesus. I bought a new honda electric moped recently for 243,000 jpy. I'm probably having way more fun with that than I would a foldable iPhone.

Sublime Text most of the time, sometimes Zed with Sublime bindings if I need to do a nasty refactor or a debugging session.

but were people emotionally attached to them?
I was! But I was also like, 6 years old.

Go on vacation to Japan. Go to a high end yakiniku restaurant. Enjoy mind blowing high quality cuts of beef and excellent service. Pay for just the food. Leave.

You're getting downvoted but I came here to say something similar. Java Curry's 中辛 blocks are amazing. Add some grilled veggies or buy some conbini fried goods to throw on top like you said.
They're great for curry udon too. I get the appeal of going to CoCo and getting a decent plate of curry cheaply, but it's such an easy dish to make at home, and with better ingredients.

You helped me sort out an MTNU Graphite key mixup a year or two ago, thanks for that! Awesome collection.

My personal favorite are the Akko Penguins. I haven't tried all the selections out there, though.
They are very quiet, and have a decent tactile bump to them.

Probably means it can be turned on remotely if its security has been compromised. I'd rather have a dumb oven with a safety mechanism to shut off after a certain time or if a certain temperature is exceeded.

Hey that's fair, AI is really the only way to do something like this in a reasonable amount of time.
bschwind
Yeah Claude must have busted his ass all morning cooking this up!
Not ragging on the OP because the results are probably generally useful, but I seriously doubt this was done without an LLM generating most of it.
bschwind
They 100% did, not even hard to detect.
bschwind
Yup, same here. Fake leather that disintegrates, and rubber parts that start getting sticky after a few years should be banned.

Is "ask for help on reddit" part of some clanker agentic loop now?
At this point, yeah, I know most people use AI for code. But
I'm not sure if you can tell, but doing this gives your writing a very obvious LLM-ism which gives the impression that this entire post and exchange of comments are just different instances of claude talking to each other. Especially because thecurlydonkey's comment also seems entirely LLM generated.
Use AI for code if you must, but I'd suggest that you at least write out your own thoughts in your own words, even if it's messy. AI is making everything feel so same-y and lonely, it's kind of depressing.
