I'll be shocked if they don't do this

bubbybumble

WM yeah I guess, but init system??

bubbybumble

I like the ghast lol

bubbybumble

Default shell xonsh or nushell, default wm is icewm with lxqt as the de hosting it. Package manager is written entirely in emacs lisp and emacs is the terminal application as well as text editor and everything else it can do (running xonsh in the actual terminal part of it of course). Only foss software available, with the default browser being ladybird. Openrc as the init system and the bootloader is systemd boot, with bcachefs as the filesystem

This one got me one day when it came on the radio I was mind blown

bubbybumble

Ohhhhhhhh ok

bubbybumble

Why did this movie have speed boots which don't exist when they used them after a long scene of them getting nether wart which means a speed potion literally would have fit in the movie there

Edit: didn't consider dungeons, didnt know anything about it

bubbybumble

Marshmallow people

bubbybumble

Me too, I can only find bots. I sort by players and see no one. Maybe I should stick in the lobbies for longer.

bubbybumble

You'd think they'd remember to fix this by now lol

bubbybumble

That's still annoying and dull when there's not much else to find in the nether underground

bubbybumble

Netherite would have been good if the main way to obtain it wasn't freaking strip mining in the nether, the WORST possible gameplay for it

I'm relatively new to Linux (3 to 4 years or so) but I couldn't find my flash drive so I do have a couple dvds I used like earlier this year

bubbybumble

Just wait ooooone more version.... Heh heh heh

bubbybumble

It's funny but it has the brand name on it rip.

bubbybumble

You use snaps on fedora?

bubbybumble

Gentoo is long to install but it's not tooooo bad, and once it's installed it's pretty easy to maintain. I can't imagine slackware, as I understand there's no automatic dependency tracking so it just sounds hellish even if the install is easy.

I like the new one, but only if comparing to the current post 1.14 texture

You should look at desktop environments first, mainly focus on kde and gnome, those two are the most popular and full featured. Or cinnamon, if you go with mint, but IMO only if you go with mint as the distro. Mint is easy for beginners, but Ubuntu or fedora are also great choices. I would like to say fedora kde is probably my favorite distribution and would be really easy, there are a couple commands to run right after installing but it's all mainly just copying what the documentation says to do for codecs and Nvidia drivers if you have an Nvidia card.

You should learn the command line just for installing software and updating, not because you have to but because it's genuinely easier than using the GUI most of the time. On fedora it will be as easy as sudo dnf install (package name), on mint or Ubuntu or most other distros it will be apt instead of dnf. Dnf and apt are both package managers, sudo is basically run as administrator.

Sorry if I wrote it confusingly but I promise it's not that difficult. Yes you should try Linux. Just keep in mind, almost any desktop environment can be installed on any distribution, the desktop being the "look and feel" of your computer. If you aren't aware, there are many Linux distributions that come with different software, since Linux is only a part of a full operating system.

If you don't want to do any commands, I could suggest bazzite if you are a gamer, or bluefin or aurora if you aren't.

I said it was opensuse until I had Nvidia issues, now I'm on fedora until it breaks. I feel I'll always try out different distros for different devices especially with servers and whatnot, but for now I do like alma a lot for a server. I can see using Debian or ubuntu instead for that

bubbybumble

Yes. You can kill 100 creepers if you see them but 2 skeletons and it's just over

bubbybumble

Chirp

bubbybumble

Alma lonux

bubbybumble

You probably could get by with kde plasma and get more benefit, but I'm sure it's fine and a good distro
