To be fair Mulan had no focus on romance (at least in the first movie). As an Asian American whose grandparents were definitely the "did they give me daughters when I asked for sons?" type, Mulan was a pretty badass movie as a kid and she was definitely a role model.

That part of the movie was definitely more commentary on Asian culture favoring boys as a whole than them purposefully throwing scrote behavior into the movie, unfortunately. ETA: better wording would be: it's still scrote behavior but somehow better than the average scrote at the time the movie takes place in 😓

Yeah everything women are better at gets devalued and mocked. You can even start to see it happen with education since more women are going to college (and succeeding) than men!

Just to add on here for other ladies reading, imo we should avoid posting any pictures of "outside" anyways because people can localize your location from small details in the photo. Eg, there's a Wendy's next to a shell? That narrows it down. Pair that with vague information you might share accidentally (saying you live in the south/north/east coast) and people can get what neighborhood you might be in.

There's also a type of man who just goes against everything his partner wants/does/says because he's that much a of dick and there's no deeper meaning besides buried hatred for her/underlying misogyny. It's definitely often paired with, as you mentioned, controlling tendencies.

Kind of tired of studies like this blaming it all on "women have support systems, men don't, pooor men!" I bet at least 50% of the poor outcome is literally men not taking care of themselves if their partners won't do it for them. But it's probably too much MiSaNdREEEE to talk about that. Because a lot of women throw away their friendships and social life when they're stuck with a shitty, controlling man.

I think a majority of men have not thought about what women want even once. We're not people to them, just valuable objects to obtain. Thus, even though it's pathetically easy to understand the problem, they still don't due to lack of any empathy.

It really is the classic scrote and pickme dance where he postures himself as superior to her, and she plays along and accepts with a smile.

My theory on this is that approximately 2/3 men have basically a r*pist gene. It wires them to be "attracted" to vulnerability of all kinds and is why most men seem predatory or like vultures. This gene has no bounds, so any vulnerable and easy "prey" will be targeted whether it is underage children, elderly women, or even other weaker men when in prison. At the same time, most of these men are highly lazy so watching porn or bagging a girlfriend will keep the utter depravity beneath the surface at bay. However, given the right/easy opportunity they will jump for it.

To me, this is the only way that the types of men getting caught by pedo-catchers makes sense. Many of them seem "normal" so the explanation is that they were simply presented with what they thought was an easy opportunity. (Many also have girlfriends or wives of the same age, so they are not exclusively pedophilic.) Also, it explains the phenomenon many women have of being betrayed by male "friends" after years of "friendship".

Tbh it would probably be illegal to post mens' actual L's. The bar is so low for their normal behavior that for something to qualify as an L it's something legitimately awful and traumatizing to look at. 😬 But yeah that account is just a dumb excuse for posting misogyny most likely. 😑
