So that’s a cone shaped steel plate. It has a magnetic pivot which has a micro-magnet that suspends and stabilises the internal balance staff in place. It’s super cool, the balance wheel beats 10 times per second!!!

The good thing is that it isn’t super prominent on the dial so it helps the case
