Pepsi was showing signs of lethargy, weakness in the hind legs, drooling, and eventually had a small seizure and the sugar test confirmed it was indeed very low. Needless to say his case was very advanced at that point. In addition to the meds we also changed his diet from Marshall kibble and treats to wysong epigen and freeze dried minnows. We tried a a variety of other raw/natural treats but dude is a minnow hound. Its obviously a little more costly, but i believe that also helped a ton considering our vet also recommended smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. Given your situation, I'd consider introducing a more natural dietary element more often throughout the day (Pep gets at least 6-8 minnows a day) and just watch out for those symptoms. Other than that just have her blood sugar regularly checked at vet visits and keep some honey on hand incase she does have a insulinoma sezuire, but to go through all those expensive tests based on a single sugar test (which can absolutely be off) seems a bit excessive atm.

If both you and your vet feel it's insulinoma just ask them if they would go ahead prescribe prednisolone. It's relatively cheap, I pay about $30/mo on chewy. My little guy was showing all the signs and my vet recommended the full (expensive) blood work as well, but instead of going through all that, and waiting for the results, I asked if we could just assume he has it and walked out of the appointment with the medication. He was a totally new ferret pretty much overnight, much more active and enjoying life again. I've had his blood sugar checked each visit since then and he's been in the normal range. Best of luck <3
