On iPhone 13pro you don't get these lines, it made a blank white screen.
Like I said, just search green line iPhone and there are a ton of results. Here is one for the iPhone 13 pro you said doesn't get these lines I found from the Google results:

Isn't this just what a damaged OLED looks like and it happens to every brand that uses OLED screens? Searching for green line iPhone turns up a ton of results as well. It doesn't seem like there is a simple cause for this symptom. I remember having this problem on a phone like 10 years ago.

Strange, I have a US carrier version S25, model number S931U. It's on February update already and is having no issues as far as I can tell using international sim cards.
caliber
Well for one thing, presumably your 9 Pro XL has a used battery at this point while your 10 Pro XL is brand new.

What was the story with DJI?

That is so bad considering I had a Pixel 9 and thought it was perhaps the worst phone I've ever had for its time. It choked on tasks and workflows that my years old Poco F3 handled with aplomb. I hated it so much I couldn't wait to trade it in for a new phone while it was still the latest gen flagship.
caliber
I got a Pixel 9 when it was new and felt majorly gaslit by reviewers and commenters. In particular, like you say the memory management was so, so bad. I absolutely hated that phone and couldn't wait to get rid of it, which I normally never do with recent phones.

Pixel 3 XL

That was a mainline Pixel.

My Pixel got a spicy pillow issue and they replaced it. Then it happened again with the replacement while I was traveling and support told me to fly back with it to get it replaced because they refused to have it serviced even though I was in a country where they sell Pixels. Ended up having to throw it away because I wasn't irresponsible and buying a new phone out of pocket.

Your link just goes to a post about the read.cv platform that presumably your post was on going away.

I just tried this on my Surface Pro 8 and couldn't figure out how to make it work?
I only have one camera in device manager and when I disable it Windows Hello doesn't work at all and says "Sorry somethint went wrong."
caliber
on a couple of occasions I’ve resumed the Surface Pro on a Monday and the Windows Hello camera has failed to work. I kept getting a “something went wrong” message, but rebooting the device brought it back to life again.
It's shocking they still haven't managed to fix that. I turned off Windows Hello on my old Surface Pro because of that and just went back to typing passwords the old way because the Windows workflow when that happens is so bad.
I also have my webcam occasionally die on video calls as well, which I suspect is the same problem.
caliber
They run even when I disabled them.
That doesn't sound right.
caliber
To add a counter datapoint, my Pixel 9 had this problem incredibly badly, which is the biggest factor behind why I got rid of it. Worse than my previous Xiaomi phone.
caliber
I don't even own a Surface Dock so the problem can't be solely limited to that.
I do think I was using a USB charger at the time, though, for what it's worth.
caliber
I never followed up on it again after making it stop by uninstalling.
As far as I know, the Surface app doesn't really do much. The only substantial feature it had I ever engaged with was the smart battery charging that would pause charging at 80% if I hadn't been using the battery much lately. Since uninstalling the app I haven't missed it.
Pretty ridiculous this bug is still going on with Microsoft's own Surface line after this long, really unpolished.
caliber
What sort of support were you hoping to see that Samsung didn't provide for Gear VR?
I feel like that project lived a rich, full life before it became increasingly obsolete and then got sent to live on a farm upstate for the remainder of its days.
caliber
I had to keep it off. Problem hasn't occurred since I uninstalled it.
Before that, I had tried uninstalling and then reinstalling but the problem persisted.
So I take it this problem is still occurring? Pretty poor that they haven't fixed this still. Good thing the Surface app never really added much value for me, so I haven't really missed it.

Available on non-Samsung phones as well. I always get it regardless of what my phone brand is.
caliber
Damn I was really hoping it would look more like the Meta Raybans than the Meta Quest.
It seems awfully bulky and geeky for something they're heavily emphasizing the AR on.
caliber
I uninstalled the Surface app. Problem hasn't returned since.
Apparently, then they can have more than one failure mode.
