Most women & most double ended strap-ons still require a harness. Every time I post this, at least one person alwasys has to chime in to say they have no problem pegging their partner without a harness over their double. THAT'S GREAT AND IT'S AWESOME FOR YOU, BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE FOR MOST PEOPLE.

Additionally, I've had 2 different strapless strap-ons & they were both made from hard plastic. They're not as comfortable as a proper, well-made, silicon dildo. My partner even thinks it's less comfortable than regular dildos. But she still reaches for it sometimes because she likes to feel the more direct connection.

On my end, I don't mind it. And one of them even has 3 vibes (head & base for the recipient, plus one in the insertable portion for the wearer. So, even if the hard plastic is less comfortable, the extra vibes are niiiice.

Still, if I had my druthers, as the recipient, I would choose a somewhat firm standard silicon dildo. They just have a better feel. Especially if you also like giving oral.

Seriously? I got a YoCan & it was such garbage, it almost got me to say "hell no, vaping doesn't work!"

I bought a $30 YoCan, thinking that I woudl start dabbing instead of using 510 carts. The experience was so crappy, I did more research & spent ~$125 on a Rogue2 & don't know what to do with the YoCan. It barely seems worth it to list it on the EntExchange Discord & I'm not sure what else to do with it.

Maybe an essential oil diffuser? Lol.

I feel that a lot of GenX signifiers were actually minorty views. Hear me out. However much you believe that the rise of "alternative" during the GenX teen years was indicative of how we rejected the mainstream & wanted to create our own rules, I sorta think it was just something that got a lot of attention. But most folks were actually just mainstream folks that really weren't interested in bucking the status quo.

The "alternative nation" that sorta coincides with GenX was really just remants of like punk & metal & skate & other subcultures being 1) recognized instead of ignored - but that doesn't mean it was respected, and 2) eventually watered down, co-opted, and stripped of its "politics."

It's not that big of a step for a white liberal punk dude in his 50s to go libertarian as opposed to leftist. Also, to go back to my original point, MOST GenX were probalby pretty middle-of-the-road politically. It was just that the "reject society & gov't" crew was louder & easier to make an example of. So, now a lot of GenX'ers think our whole generation was full of rabble-rousers & folks who would rather drop out than accept the status quo. That's not the case & never has been.

Most GenX are probalby like most generations & fairly apathetic or only mariginally engaged. I was mad & called BS on everyone blaming us for electing Trump. I may not know anyone that did, but the more I think about it, the less surprised I am. I don't necessarily think that a majority of us support the orange menace. But I do think that a lot of GenX didn't care enough either way to prevent it from happening.

I get it.

When you're new to dab rigs or dry herb vaping, shit seems really expensive compared to just rolling a joint or hitting a pipe. Even a really nice bong is less than a lot of the vapes folks recommend. I had a hard time plonking $120 on a battery vape that I had no idea if I was going to like or not. Luckily, I think it's awesome & I'm spending less on weed. I'm definitely saving compared to what the my rate of cart consumption used to be.

Also, I dunno where you're located, but vape shops around me always seem kinda fly-by-night & are mostly stocked with cheap vaporizers aimed more towards concentrate smokers. But those devices tend to suck for just about anything. I can't even tell if the shitty YoCan I first tried was defective or just crap. I am leaning towards it just being crap.

If you ARE able to get anything out of that & make it work. More power to you. Keep it around & maybe you can use it for on-the-go use.

But I'd defintely consider saving for a better device you can use every day that works reliably.

The HealthyRips Rogue2 & the Planet of the Vapes Lobo are popular & sometimes considered 2 of the best entry level portable electronic dry herb vaporizers to start with. The Rogue has an internal battery, the Lobo has a removable battery. Other than that, they're remarkably similar. They're both ~$150 for a bundle with some extra stuff that includes everything you need.

Some torch vapes are cheaper & are a good way to get into vaping. But there's more of a learning curve since you'll probably be starting with a torch lighter. And that requires some trial & error. Also, some torch vapes aren't really that much cheaper than an electronic vape, AND you still need to get a decent torch lighter. Everyone will tell you that torch vapes can be hit more consistently using an induction heater, which is true, but even a cheap induction heater is adding $90 > $100 to your set-up.

I got a Vices Joystik to go with my Ramen bong, lol. But TBH, it's not doing a whole lot for me. I'm probably going to grab a Terpcicle instead for bong use & when I want to get blasted. My Rogue2 is my daily driver & it gets me where I want to be most of the time. It's only occasionally that I take big bong rips with the Joystik.

Not trying to argue, but isn't the Vietnamese nail salon thing directly attributable to Tippi Hedron?

It's actually kind of a thing now. Some people are trying to bring back "I'm gay not queer!" It's mostly older gays & lesbians, but not exclusively. I think it's very much a viewpoint that is purposely being pushed.

It subtly (also not so subtly) excludes trans folx since a lot of trans people in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex/gender still consider themselves queer, even if their relationship is technically M/F.

I've heard from "older gays" (their description) that "queer is a slur!" But I'm prime GenX & some of the people saying that are younger than me. "Queer liberation" had been a thing already for years by the time I was aware of it. So that excuse falls way flat.

I hate musicals. It's just a thing with me. I'm not proud of it, sometimes I wish I did. But I just don't enjoy them.

The first time my friends took me to a midnight screening of Rocky Horror Picture Show though, was a revelation. I was both extremely interested & extremely uncomfortable. I did NOT find Tim/Frank attractive AT ALL, but he definitely unlocked something in me (years, later, I might say I DID find him strangely hot, I just didn't want to).

I know that some people have issues with RHPS for its clumsy use of language & the portrayal of Frank-N-Furter as a perverted alien crossdresser. But I don't care. It was a different time & I was a punk. I was already perfectly used to being an outcast already.

I may not have done anything about it for 30+ years, but I could not have possibly understood myself and eventually come out without Tim's Frank-N-Furter.

EDIT TO ADD: I still hate musicals, I still love Rocky Horror.

Why did you wear pants that make it look like you're Donald Ducking it?

candykhan

Why are you such a dick? Because you recommended a completely inappropriate place for the question & I called you out on it?

I am asking if anyone else thinks Shilla went downhill in some way.

I kinda hope you're just an ass because the other option is that you're kinda dumb.

I've heard this is less true than it used to be. For a while, it was a no-brainer. Uber was handing out driver accounts like candy. People would sign up multiple people under fake credentials that showed a good driving/criminal record.

I had heard Uber got better about it. But possibly not.

Another reason I was starting to use both (instead of just Lyft) was from hearing that the driver compensation on Lyft was more confusing & often screwed them over. Uber's isn't much better, but made drivers jump through fewer hoops when bad passengers were the issue.

I'm back to Lyft again. But it's really true that there's no ethical condump6undet capitalism.

Crows are great at pattern recognition. Someone did a TikTok where they trained their local murder by feeding them from a red baseball cape. Those crows became MAGA hat attack birds very quickly.

Probably pretty trivial to associate a distinctive blue & white flag with something the crow wants to attack.

I shoulda just looked it up: https://tafee.com/flaske

There's a pic on the site. It looks to be about the size of a standard alcohol flask, maybe a little taller than most.

One thing though, I just noticed that it looks like the person in the ad is tucking it into a very AI generated looking pocket in their jacket that doesn't look like it's possible for the pocket to physically exist. If they're using AI in ads, I'm guess I'm glad I didn't spend $550 on one of their products.

That may be the case, I hate cops & don't mind seeing people waste their time. But that's not what this guy is doing. He's not interested in showing cops trampling over his rights. He's poking the bear (in this case, the dude telling him to leave) in hopes of bothering him enough & getting him worked up enough that he will get sick of his bullshit & then lash out on camera.

Suddenly the "auditor" is the victim.

The dude with the camera is not victim of the cops, he's a troll. Did you not see him say "watch this" before making a 180 from tough guy to crying mess? Do you honestly think he was trying to point out poor police behavior?

'Cuz if so, I know a bridge...

candykhan

Doesn't it somewhat depend on the type of "data center?" AI data centers require more cooling, they generate more heat. You can use "closed loop systems," but those are more expensive.

There seems to be a lot of astroturfing on the subject lately. "Almond orchards use more water!" Yeah, probably some, maybe even most data centers use less water. I know it's easier to say "data center = bad," but there seems to be some willful obfuscation that SOME of the big data centers being proposed probably will create water issues where they're built. But not all data centers are created equal.

Dafuq? Someone agrees with you & you're a dick? You must be fun to be around.

> "Ahmed told KQED he was “completely compliant” — but was left with disabling injuries, including broken bones and nerve damage."

Also, he spoke to a lawyer referred to him by Tom Fucking Morello. Yes, THAT Tom Morello.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was a jerk. But being a jerk shouldn't get you "broken bones and nerve damage." Hopefully the injuries help to either prove or disprove what happened.

My teen niece was sorta like this, but (thankfully) grew out of it. She was from a fairly conservative area, but still a big city. I think she was just figuring things out & pushing boundaries. She didn't insist on new pronouns. But she claimed she was bisexual & genderfluid.

She was not. She was certainly never gender non-conforming. And she was never really attracted to other girls either. She was totally boy crazy.

Being non-binary myself, I didn't want to keep her from experimenting. But there were a few painful (in an embarrassing way, not actually painful) moments where she said stuff that was just really ignorant. But coming from a place of trying to figure herself out & acting out, not actually thinking she was "doing queer right" while all us olds clearly didn't understand how to be gay.

The part where she slammed the door on a driver for calling her "ma'am" when she naturally presents femme is particularly reminiscent of the dumb shit my niece would say/do. But, like I said, she eventually figured it out & stopped with the queer stolen valor shit.

candykhan

I can't imagine what the people who voted for her were thinking. Even if someone were supporters before the recall, they'd have to be a fool to think she was anything but toxic at this point. But you're right, if she ran this time when everything is fresh in people's minds, she's not likely to stop going for public office.
