The answer is to do like Linux, and get rid of the distinction. A thread is just a process that shares resources.
See also https://9p.io/magic/man2html/2/fork; the difference is that Plan 9 threads share all memory but the stack, and map the stack at a fixed address in all processes -- this makes thread-local storage into just allocating a few entries at the top of the stack.

Technically true. It's time for congress to do its job and amend the constitution.

Why would anyone still be on Twitter?

What's more useful? Fifty thousand drones or one F35? Because they're roughly the same cost.

The only appropriate response to that is "Um.... okay..."

Both of them have admitted weakness.

Canada should demand that they stick with the deal they negotiated. Fuck this bullying.

I can see the AI writing. How much of this did you write with AI? How did you verify the numbers the AI spat out at you?

The choice right now is between pretending compromised voting systems are still working, and doing what they can.

I think Democratic governors need to start saying "Because we no longer believe the post office will deliver mail-in ballots untampered with, we are going to require in-person voting".

No.

So, static linking?

I think the current plan is 5 to 10 years of ramping down all American control over their politics, as well as the aid that's been buying it.

Israel is slowly and quietly disconnecting from the USA. They realize the Americans aren't going to be the ones with the big stick in the room for much longer.

This future sucks. I liked the propaganda about freedom that America pumped out, and I would have liked it if they actually believed it -- even if they played realpolitik to make it happen.
Instead we get fascism on my left, authoritarianism on my left, and disaster straight ahead.

"Roofs aren't about dealing with rain, it's just about engineering".

I've never met someone who actually deeply understood the things they'd "learned" with AI. Usually, I spot a bunch of mistakes in AI output, so at best they end up misinformed.
Weirdly, AI is a lot better at finding mistakes in existing output than it is at generating correct output in the first place.

It's "your" project. It's not really promising when you don't even know how the agents run.
It's probably more accurate to say that it's not actually yours, and you bought it from anthropic, based on your responses here.
case-o-nuts
why did you paste LLM output? are you unaware of how your own system works?
case-o-nuts
That seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of how everything works. What can an agent accomplish better by directly modifying the page directory entries instead of calling mmap?
case-o-nuts
Why?

obligatory: fuck AI, learn something instead, and feed your natural intelligence.

You read it; the linked sections are is in a good order to read.
You weren't even able to write your own blog post. Why would anyone expect you to be able to write cursor movement code?
