I think the point is that Season 1 was something we really hadn't seen before in the gacha space and that attracted a lot of people who are not into the usual gacha fare. Everything after that has been pretty much standard for all other gacha games so now it's like what's the point.
If they had still kept a unique and interesting style albeit different from Season 1 it would have been one thing but now ZZZ looks like any other sci-fi gacha game.

As someone who has tried to get into Haskell a few times the barriers the author writes about feel spot on. I've wished for a uv equivalent for Haskell for a while.

I actually prefer this. Yixuan's outfit is great in isolation but as a ZZZ character I always felt it was lacking. Character designs in this game had typically been some form of work clothes or something you would expect someone of the character's profession/role to actually be wearing which I appreciated since it made things feel very grounded compared to most gacha titles. The Yixuan we got felt much more heavily geared to being very sexualized instead of what a grand master of a mystic martial arts temple would wear in my opinion, which is not bad but it does sort of break that design ethos they had originally. This outfit is much more something I could see a grand master wearing, while still having that attractive flair. Give her a window like Sweetie's and it's perfect.

Save some of those residuals for when he comes out in the shop next patch.

Wasn't VK_EXT_descriptor_buffer supposed to be the heaps stand-in?

Interesting. Thank you.

Sorry for the somewhat unrelated question but as someone with good performance chops what are your thoughts on Halide?

One thing I don't understand is why not just have an in-game option to change between the designs? The same way some Genshin characters were given different outfits to fit regional restrictions.

The usual disclaimers that these are just estimates and that Mihoyo doesn't put this information out should be given.

SPV_NV_bindless_texture
Any usage examples of this? I was trying to mess around with using them in push constants but the compiler kept generating descriptor sets.

That's why I'm really interested in tools like Langium. The premise of providing a grammar and some symbol lookup logic and getting a functional LSP out is very compelling. Would be nice to have some more projects in this space.

Personally when I think Void Hunter it's anyone who has a special flavor of element (Auric Ink/Frostflame). Not canon I know but it seems like the de facto standard.

The Slang release page has binaries for the big platforms. Can't be that hard to write a Conan recipe to download and unpack them.

I was just looking for some kind of errdefer in Rust while doing Vulkan/Ash stuff. Not too sure about the approach presented here though, wish there was something more seamless.

Strange to suggest that it's unprecedented when the Cold War was a thing. Divisions were quite prevalent then too what with the Civil Rights movement and Vietnam war.

Something from the height of the Eldian empire with all the great shifter houses competing for political power. AoT GoT.

Still pretty damn terrible under Windows https://imgur.com/a/IJx8N5l
Oh well, maybe in another year or two.

Came across these on Pinterest and had the same thought. It's really a charming style.

Yes you can write Linux applications in Swift. Swift can interface with C libraries so using things like GLFW or SDL works fine.

The explanations in the replies to this post make sense but didn't Neuv at least wonder why he never saw Furina use any hydro powers in five centuries?

Maybe I'm biased but I'd like to see this study successfully replicated a few times before I take it as law.

It's not just Apple. Software quality as a whole has been degrading everywhere. I blame the pandemic.

Similar experience on the iPadOS 15 beta (19A5261w).
Dragging and dropping is particularly bad but pretty much everything is buggy.
I believe one of the WWDC videos said that they rewrote it in SwiftUI for this release.
While a good insight I'd argue that this is somewhat orthogonal to what people really look for with medieval/technological stasis which is a way to keep your fantasy swords and sorcery world from going through an industrial revolution and ruining the aesthetic.
