Hey quick nitpick with your benchmark. `true` is a bash builtin like `:`, so you’re not timing an external program. You should use `command true` to get a more accurate timing.

TOML 1.0 requires that inline tables be only on one line. TOML 1.1 relaxed that requirement and now allows them to span multiple lines. So it depends on what version your parser implements.

It’s probably from Google Groups, a service for email lists. A long time ago Google imported archives from Usenet (a precursor to the modern internet) and made them searchable so you can find old messages like this.

The usual argument is that when you delete a comment, Reddit doesn’t actually erase the text but instead just puts a little checkmark in the database next to your comment to indicate it’s deleted, meaning you could theoretically get the text of the comment back. However, editing your comment actually changes the text of the comment and destroys the original text. This appeals to people who are particularly worried about their privacy

There’s a bit where VUE and Duke are talking and Duke is trying to remember a song. Duke sings a half-remembered lyric and VUE recognizes and finishes singing the song. I don’t remember the actual song though.
