So I'm trying to get a firm answer on how a job's [job] bonuses (as opposed to their [common] bonuses) function.

Do they apply to all characters using that job? For example, if I got Alice/Cleric's level 2 for staff +10%, and Red/Cleric's identical skill, then play Red/Cleric in a Cinderella zone (so neither of their location buffs apply), am I getting +10% to my staves or +20%? How does this interact with half-nightmare/sin jobs later on? Does a Greedy Crow Paladin still count as a Paladin, or are they separate jobs? Any clarification would be great, because I've struggled to find an answer that actually addresses this directly.

How do you actually get the lance? The wiki doesn't have a recipe or source yet. My suspicion was dungeon loot?

Crossposting this to as many of these threads as I've seen-- Rebooting your PC seems to solve the problem, in at least two cases so far. Give it a shot.

I wish there was some way to tell. I just tested Terrasteel and Emerald now-- Emerald works, Terrasteel doesn't, and as near as I can tell there's no way to distinguish without spending the resources and trying.

chainlinc3

Yeah, that was totally not a thing. She's best girl, but totally not dead.

chainlinc3

Ah, cool. Thanks!

So, that definitely explains a lot, but there's still some inconsistencies. Like, I can apply Sequential Kill Systems to only my Drained (in spite of the mod saying it can be applied to any unit), but my Vanguard tech tree is still empty. I know for a fact that I had a unit of Drained possess some troopers with that mod though.

chainlinc3

No but actually I have no idea what that is. O_o

What am I even looking at.

I mean, you did make a mistake. You put the wrong mod in a slot. And then you stabbed him in the chest when they go to great pains to demonstrate that meleeing a lich under any circumstances is just asking for them to grab you and beat you to death. Their melee attacks-- even the ones that aren't in response to an execution attempt-- have been universally fatal to me, unless I had some form of death avoidance. And you just blithely stabbed them in the chest with the wrong sequence. To quote Sprag: "Big mistake! Big mistake!"

There's a case to be made that you should be able to play at melee range against them, but if there is no range where the Lich can decisively beat you if they get a hit in, then congratulations, THAT'S how you fail to make an intimidating enemy. As it is, the Lich succeeds in being a presence on the battlefield that I NEED to keep an eye on so they won't blindside me at an inopportune time. Which is about as intimidating as an enemy can get in Warframe, to be honest.

Is it good practice to just confirm the price on every trade then? Because I try to do extremely fast turnaround so people can get back to what they were doing, so I've been hesitant to delay each trade by 5-10 seconds while I go fiddle with the market.

Where DO you go for discussion about the real state of the game then? Genuinely curious, would like to expand the places I poke for Dragalia news.

Honestly, as someone who just stumbled onto this project whilst bemoaning the demise of the previous LWOTC project, I'm just super psyched to see that you've done as much as you have here. Please keep up the good work! I'll definitely be trying out this alpha at some point in the next few days.
