Yeah, turns out I had an obscure Asus monitor issue. My solution was turn pc off, unplug the faulty monitor's power cable, turn the pc on (the other monitor works now), wait 10 minutes, and plug the faulty monitor's powr cable back in

Computer Gremlins.

charzard4261

Same here. Woke my computer up from sleep, noticed one monitor has stopped getting signal. Restarted pc and now neither do.

I think I updated Nvidia drivers yesterday, and this is the first time I've restarted it since it forced a windows update the other day.

charzard4261

I think you're getting downvoted because you could on day 1/2 but I think it got hotfixed, because I definitely could not put a gold weapon in my sling yesterday.

PC can be wild. 6/10 times no messages aside from your own GG. 2/10 times other people also gg. 1/10 times an interesting conversation about builds, hatch thank yous or other funny things. Last 1/10 is awful comments. I've had luck encouraging people not to be toxic when it starts, and people do seem to realise that it's ridiculous.

charzard4261

I've modified my files and turned on visual heartbeat normally and it hasn't reset anything. That's odd.

charzard4261

Just a heads up you can change it in game! It's under accessibility as "Visual Heartbeat" iirc, and you don't need to edit the files to enable it :)

charzard4261

If you do that you'll have the Scunthorpe problem. You also might know it as the Cofagrigus problem if you're into Pokémon. You'll also need to keep the list updated for every insult in every language possible. It's simply not feasible.

Also, AI as a term is so overused. The AI behind the filter is not the same as Chat GPT and is probably the list of words and a set of rules trying to define what context is or avoiding "fu ck" (or at least it should be). "Oh shit" is not an insult, so maybe it's whitelisted. But when it encountered something that it couldn't figure out "Also shit wasn't..." it probably censored it just in case.

Any plans on changing the cleansing/opening penalty to Calm Spirit? It'd be an appreciated change to a perk that's rarely used.

charzard4261

Went from Apex to Titanfall 2, and it made Apex feel worse coming back to it lol.

charzard4261

I used to use the Reddit app, but switched to boost. I can deal with a few ads here and there, and if you know where to look you can stop videos playing automatically.

But what I couldn't stand was the video player not working at all over 60% of the time. Also, sometimes "continue this thread" loaded a screen with a completely different comment thread!

You can't claim that the app had no issues whatsoever.

There was an exploit to find IP addresses running Minecraft servers through Mojang's systems a while ago. That's probably what they were talking about.

charzard4261

This is BotW not TotK.

How Far We've Come - Matchbox Twenty

Heard it for the first time in an animation, and it fits so well.

charzard4261

I agree - if it wasn't for D&D Beyond I wouldn't be into D&D. Having an easy, cheap and accessible way to learn the rules on my own time (as well as their automated stuff making first character creation super simple) helped me and other people ease into a game we weren't sure we'd like.

Now that we're into it and own a few books, we can see the issues, especially for long time players (and paying same price as physical for digital is dumb). But it's not overrated as the previous commenter said.

charzard4261

No, he got benched pretty early on in my run, I do recall briefly hearing that he was when he was younger but it wasn't until burningbarn8's comment that I learnt more about it.

charzard4261

Err that's odd, I set the quote to be spoiler before posting. Sorry about that!

Thanks for filling me in, I'll have to go back and look at 6&8 because it's been a while and I might be unjustly angry at Engage.

charzard4261

Just finished my first playthough of Engage. Got it shortly after launch but kept procrastinating finishing it (just like everything else lol).

I think it's the most fun Gameplay in the series. The rings are busted but the almost complete overhaul of the weapon system was super fun! Gameplay graphics were fantastic too! Loved switching into an upscaled battle map when going into combat. (I hope in the future they show adjacent units).

... But what was up with that story? It was awful! I've kept off this sub since launch to not get spoiled, but was the reaction here the same? I genuinely believe it was the worst story in the series. Most characters felt 1 dimensional, with only a couple exceptions where they felt 2 dimensional.

I think the character Epilogues was the cherry on top. Did I miss some secret S support options or something? Most of them were super unsatisfying with the worst probably being poor Alfred, "Died an early death" are you kidding me??

charzard4261

916 pages? That's insane!

charzard4261

Why is Fort Dumbord off the coast? Is it effective at being a fort? Does it need supplying from the mainland or is it self sufficient?

charzard4261

Was honestly shocked when my friends made my try Overwatch 2 as a Paladins player, and seeing that the skins change the bare minimum. Considering Apex is the same I shouldn't be so surprised, but it's made me appreciate smaller games more, like Omega Strikers changing VFX and MVP anims.

charzard4261

Your VTT is very impressive! I have two questions though:

Are 2D images able to be used as tokens?

Is there workshop (o.e.) support for maps?

GIVEAWAY

charzard4261

It's really not. Even if you wanted to give each Pokémon an animation for every move it can learn (which is not necessary as moves can be categorised) it's not impossible for a company with as much money as GameFreak.

And as other people have said, when they did cut it to 400 we got nothing out of it.

charzard4261

It's such a fantastic game with more depth than you can tell at first glance (both in story and space wise - I couldn't believe how much of stages were accessible!). My favourite part of the gameplay definitely had to be the environmental puzzles, they're so well crafted with the rewards in sight but our of reach to set you off on a hunt.

charzard4261

Off memory, most puzzles have an intended solution but there are one or two ways of doing it. It gives you the tools and space to figure out the puzzle, but its not a sandbox experience.
