If this becomes precidence here, what about if/when a republican governor is in office here again, should they then do the same to squeeze out more offices? Where in the country is a supermajority working well in a large city or state? Nowhere is the answer, their power should be in check, not increased by bamboozling.

A lot of bad optics all the way around, but living and working in LA, I'm going to play devils advocate and say the crime and lawlessness is worse than seeing our own boots on the ground. Where I live is not much different politically than Chicago. Criminals and many cops (unfortunately) have little regard for the law, our cities are getting trashed and parts of LA that I've know and worked are hardly recognizable, what to do??

Our leaders in big cities aren't doing squawdoosh about most of this and play politics at all t times. I'd like our cities better and don't like the NG or Army but what to do? I haven't been to Chicago in over a decade but LA has gotten lots worse in last half decade.

If not Trump and the Feds.. what and who? Our sheriffs, LAPD and DA are slow to do much of well, anything about anything.

I hear her and tend to agree about US Military on domestic soil, but same time why is every troubled town that obviously needs help so willing to fight Trump more than the crime? Like they’ll turn on and up every available resource for that but allow wanton crime at every corner and intersection.

If they ran their towns in a diligent manner, I don’t think anyone would think twice to call BS on Trump but living in LA and seeing same, I wished politicians here put the same energy and effort in cleaning the mess around here as they do running their mouths. Just saying, they’re leaving the door open for him or anyone else to come in. I don’t like the national guard or army on domestic soil but don’t like dealing with drug addicted people when I’m getting gas, coming out of the store etc. my family helps those in need but these cities are getting run into the ground.
