Ya, it was very mediocre for the majority of the movie. It's crazy how much better Roger Rabbit still looks compared to modern attempts.

You think the guy who is amazing at writing dialogue

I personally find his dialogue to be the worst part of the few things I've seen of his. Every single character is written as clever, eloquent, and remarkably quick-witted. It's unnatural and tedious. The pacing is always so unbelievably fast too.

Characters are always just speedrunning epic monologues back and forth with no breathing room in-between. Group scenes are absolutely comical how perfectly everyone manages to pass the baton without anyone ever getting cut off.

I love the more succinct "Get fucked four-eyes!" from Shaun of the Dead.

Right, but you can only guarantee that for your own network. Most people live in range of other people's networks.

Some models occasionally attempt to connect to unsecured wireless networks. They just store data until they're successful and transmit all at once.

Hell, someday the single company that owns us all might just have a dedicated network specifically for moving our data. The tvs will auto connect to this network while us plebs use the lower tier internet reserved for non-businesses.

Ya, this might be the most bullshit headline I've seen in quite some time. The show comes nowhere close to this topic whatsoever.

I can't swim, halfway there!

cippopotomas

He definitely killed at least 2 people with that explosion on the way out too

Coe was competent 95% of the time but he sure died like an idiot

cippopotomas

That detail definitely bothered me, I was holding out for an explanation of some sort. But compared to last season I really enjoyed it. Better than a rube goldberg paint can completing the antagonists plan for them.

god, youtube shorts are so awful.

Mike still has a pretty powerful move, Gale just happened to not pick up his phone.

I've noticed something recently. It's not enough that something people enjoy exists, they need it to be the only version that exists. Even if some other mode or expansion doesn't impact them in the slightest, its existence is an affront to them. They don't want it and they desperately need their opinion to be right. They are positively gleeful when a game dev decision disappoints people with an opposing opinion. And if it disappoints them, they screech that the game is dead in every corner of the internet.

I've been playing classic wow and they recently disappointed a lot of people by not continuing the run and instead releasing a new version. I'm pretty indifferent in preference but I sympathize with the people who have 7 years invested in characters and were looking forward to the next expansion. Within minutes of the announcement, people were frantically installing wow classic just to rub people's noses in the fact that they didn't get what they want. It's troll-fodder sure, but there are plenty of people who seem to genuinely delight that an expansion they personally didn't enjoy won't be enjoyed by others.

It's the worst part of every community. And some communities are so infested that I have to turn off social features just to enjoy the actual game. I don't play this game but I completely understand the desire to enjoy something without other people actively ruining the experience.

What if it wasn't a crush but someone you were still getting to know and you weren't sure how you really felt yet? I'm not one for games but I get it. It can be off-putting when someone seems way more into it than you are.

cippopotomas

It's a lot more people than you'd think.

I think my main gripe is the inconsistency throughout the movie. Good horror/slasher movies establish clear rules for their monster(s) and stick to them. I feel like it's necessary to create meaningful stakes.

It never really felt like that was the case in A Quiet Place, the level of noise and the reactions to them were all over the place. Shit just kinda happened when something needed to happen.

New blood was fine

It's hard to take this recommendation now

cippopotomas

Or the entire new team. They collectively have less character development than any one of the og main characters.

cippopotomas

I never made it that far. Every season got tougher to watch around like season 3 or 4.

cippopotomas

There is a proverb about trees and axes

Nah, I've never heard of that. Therefore, it doesn't exist.

I play a lot of hots and rarely ever come across this. I've gotten chat banned for some pretty mild stuff as well, it seems like the automated report system has a low threshold.

As opposed to wow general chat, which I have to turn completely off for my own sanity.

You don't have any shows you love with specific seasons you don't? Plenty of good shows jump the shark.
