Man, meal time is gonna be awkward for him for the next year or so..

The right way, in my humble opinion, is to see it as it is. Nothing more, nothing less.

It is a horrific event, that's true. Yet at the same time, it's something that takes up our attention due to its horrific nature, while bringing no more suffering than the existing world problems we have. Poverty, crime, lack of knowledge about mental health, they all cause more suffering and anguish than these "celebrity" (for lack of a more suitable word) tragedies.

why I always see focal length converted to full-frame equivalent but never the same for aperture

Any conversion is always on a as-needed basis. Focal length doesn't have to be converted to full frame equivalent, actually, just like inch doesn't have to be converted to cm, even if almost the entire world uses cm. It depends on your audience. If your audience isn't familiar with full frame, why convert it?

Likewise with aperture. First of all, the equivalence of f/2 and f/3 is ONLY in terms of bokeh. Also, it's only relevant when you use your lens wide open. Stop down and the equivalent aperture will also change.

Not everyone is still on the "OMG BOKEHZ" stage in their photography, or use their lens wide open 100% of the time, so most people don't care what ff equivalence the max aperture is.

Look at you, offended because you're called "young"... I'm at an age where "young" is a compliment :)

In any case, I'm sure you know what the Buddhist answer to your problem is.

The thing is I'm not sure you need the Buddhist answer yet. The Buddhist answer is what you should choose to do. It's not something you do because you don't have the capacity to do something else.

In other words, being mugged is not being generous, and you shouldn't frame it as such. If you don't know what to do / feel powerless here, acknowledge that and maybe take steps to empower yourself, instead of choosing the higher road because you don't have any other option. It would be fake anyway, and won't take you any further down the path.

The buzzword here is "assertiveness" (which I think is one of the adulting skills a lot of people lack). That's the term people use when they're talking about the thing I think you're asking for here. If you Google it, you'll find a lot of resources.

Good luck.

Can you share which videos you think are "very good"?

And may we know your education background?

To be perfectly honest: you found a new hobby, and now the old one just seems less interesting. Happens to all kinds of hobbies.

I'm going to answer a different question: how does enlightenment work?

The process of the cycle of rebirth is told as the 12 Nidanas. There you have the chain of conditionality, from ignorance to (re)birth to suffering.

Enlightenment eliminates ignorance, which causes the entire chain to collapse, including birth and suffering.

What kind of meditation do you do? Where did you get the instructions from? How sure are you (in %) that you're following the instructions correctly?

Hehe. You need Metta, mate.

Metta is a construct, but it's a nice construct to have.

As far as I understand it: nama is the fruit of citta activity.

Nama, or "name," is the object-ness of a cognized object. How come we (re)cognize a dachshund and a Tibetan mastiff both as "dogs" while they're very different? That's (part of) the nama of "dogs." They have "what makes a dog a dog."

A corgi can also be a corgi, or a cute corgi, or my beloved corgi, all different namas.

There's also rupa, another fruit of citta, which is the boundary of the cognized object. We say a chair is separate from the floor. Where "chair" ends and "not chair" begins, is the rupa of the chair. The rupa of a human is sometimes said to be its body, because that's where the human ends and its environment begins... But that doesn't mean "rupa" strictly means body or material form.

When enlightened people say reality is the fruit of the mind, they don't mean something like the matrix (as some seem to understand it)... They mean that the objects that form this reality, specifically the nama and the rupa of the objects, are fruits of the mind.

And our objects of attachment are all Nama and Rupa.

When (the perception of) Rupa dissolves, then so do the boundaries of objects, including our selves. That's where the saying of "becoming one with everything" comes from. In reality it's not "one" because even to say "one" requires a perception of rupa.

Really? Gotta try that sometime.

  1. Something authentic is discovered
  2. It then gets overhyped and commoditized
  3. It then becomes a "buzzword"

There's substance behind flow, just like behind mindfulness. Just don't get overhyped.

That's the one I'm familiar with (but haven't read). What are the other versions?

You can make the folder icon match the first app in the folder but then you'll have to swipe up to actually open the folder. Would that work for you?

The one buat apa? Dinikahin? Dipacarin?

Dulu pernah ada thread AskReddit yang nanya "what's the Santa of grown ups?" dan salah satu jawabannya adalah 'the one.'

Hobbyist photographer here. It kinda sorta works like that.

Noise is random. Noise happens on a per-pixel level.

If we bin four pixels into one, there's higher likelihood that the resulting pixel is not noise.

It's kinda sorta the same logic as multi-frame noise reduction.

They probably release the actual phones, too, not just the photos.

clickstation

You are getting 12MP images. They bin four pixels into one.

clickstation

I'm not sure if that's the case....

But even if that's the case, that's not the end of the world is it? We can still choose the less shitty out of the two shitty scenarios.

Are you saying that as Ahoker lo ga ngeliat bahayanya kalo wowo ampe menang? You think it's just marketing ploy?

Look at fast food ads. Absolutely no one in the world gets food as depicted in the ads.

People know ads are phoney. As long as they're not deceiving (= don't lie about reasons to purchase), people are mostly okay.

  1. A lifestyle is just skin deep. You can definitely practice and mix whatever lifestyles you want, without being "wrong." However, not being wrong doesn't mean people will like or appreciate or tolerate what you do, though.

  2. If you only care about rules, why not just practice Christianity? Buddhism reduced to rules is useless.

  3. I really don't think most of the rules are the same.

Dugaan pemerkosaan staf Dewan Pengawas (Dewas) BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Syafri Adnan Burhanuddin memasuki babak baru. Staf perempuan itu melaporkan seseorang berinisial SAB ke Bareskrim Polri.

Wow.. Siapa ya kira2 SAB itu? Cuma dikasih inisialnya doang sih, jadi ga mungkin ketauan.
