I’ve got a 9 month old now (ebf, no bottles or formula) and I could go to a wedding and not be engorged if I fed her in the morning and when I got home tbh and I actually think she’d probably be fine all day too, if that helps at all.

I went to see 6 in Baldivis yesterday, only one property had anyone else there.

I’m in this boat now, 8 months old and still needs the leg inserts but she’s getting too chunky to fit. Shame because I love a Tripp trapp.

Can you not just ask for books from Amazon? Or yoto cards or something?

clp1234567

What country are you in? My cousin managed to find octonauts magazines for my daughter in Morrisons and a few gups and an octopod on vinted

Tena lady knickers in black, electrolytes and sure clinical ultimate sport deodorant for you. M&S stain wipes and vital baby hygiene spray for your bag and Tripp trapp with the newborn bit, a tuppence and crumble star and a puddlesuit that’s unlined for the baby

Brit who now lives in Australia here - it’s one of the first things I noticed when we moved here that my washing no longer smells of washing. I washed my clothes in the UK on a minimum of 40 and in a front loader - I now cold wash everything pretty much and use a top loader I always put it down to that but it’s definitely a thing my British washing smelt far stronger than my Australian washing.

I mean I bought the axkid one 2+ and my grandparents offered to pay - needless to say they nearly had heart failure when they saw the price. I was a child of the 80s so they’ve never ever had to have a car seat. Axkids are fantastic really rate the brand while I don’t have that model I have no doubt for 265 it’s absolutely worth the money. Maybe just pick it up and tell them give you £100?

A reusable diaper in the car is the key here! Always fits!

Do you go with kids? Any camp site recommendations?

clp1234567

I’m British and remember on Sabrina the teenage witch singing ‘shake you’re wammy Fanny’ and my nan writing to nickelodeon to complain about the smut on children’s tv 💀

I have a 2 week old I appreciate face mists, eye masks, chocolate and cake

I managed to get a higher base in Perth furniture warehouse - looked everywhere for something that wasn’t basically on the floor I agree with you it’s an annoying trend means you can’t use under the bed for storage.

clp1234567

I would do the same

clp1234567

This is the same sadly with all aspects of parenting and birth family love an opportunity to give their opinion. Tell them nothing. The best way I’ve learned to handle it is to ask what they would do. How will you feed? No idea! What did you do? And off they go. The other thing that works so so well is when people ask if you’re having any more say yes I want a football team and then they tell you to calm down you can’t have that many children and never ask again! Works like a charm! Just to add too I breastfed and there was a breast feeding group in my area I found really helpful at the time there might be one in yours you could call in and ask the mums about their combi feeding journeys and how that looks for them I found it to be a really helpful thing to do! Best of luck!

Afraid to say as someone who breastfed for an extended period I totally get it. It did take over my life. No drinking, running was too painful, no skincare that actually works, no Botox, couldn’t wear dresses (and I’m a big dress fan) There was a very long stretch of time where my kid had bottle refusal so it was all on me. It really was all consuming so I do understand it I missed out on a lot of social gatherings because of it. I’m sure I was as equally annoying as she’s being, I do laugh to myself hearing her.

You could literally be writing about me. 18 years between me and my sister and 15 between me and my brother I was a second marriage and should never of happened because my ‘mother’ was very clearly over it by the time I came. You can’t say anything that’ll change her I’m late 30s now I lived with boyfriends, went backpacking as soon as I possibly could and I went no contact early 20s. Just try and get your sister to be able to get GCSEs and qualifications so she can get to college and get out of there - my siblings didn’t support me (nor was it their job to they had their own lives) but that would of really helped just push education I wish someone had for me.

Pledge of what? Also British and don’t get what it means

clp1234567

I’m debating the paper honeycomb trees that I could just put in the bin afterwards but I’m being called a Scrooge

clp1234567

It’s not like the films but I can understand the concern, Tena lady make disposable knickers and their actually great for post birth but nothing stopping you wearing them to the office seriously no one would know and it would contain anything that happened.

clp1234567

This is my absolute goat gift I buy for people when their kids turn 1. Years of play I’ve yet to see a kid come to our house and not gravitate towards it immediately!

clp1234567

I watch diannes vlogs and when she came back from Australia last time after her nan had passed and her dad was so unwell she saw Vito and you could just tell he cared so much about her. He seems such a lovely person and loyal protective friend.

clp1234567

I’m down a very strange rabbit hole on this because I only know who he is from Joe Suggs blogs back in the day but I keep getting fed tiktoks about it and I noticed his brother commented on one the other day saying she’d also slept with a married man on the traitors. I don’t even remember who was on the season to imagine who that is but that’s probably the actual answer isn’t it

clp1234567

Same - I moved 10 thousand miles away so it is technically my own fault but it is tough I have friendly people in my life no one who would offer to babysit though really and I’m going to have to give birth on my own because of it (husband will have to stay home with toddler). I’ve found that very mentally difficult and it’s ruined the enjoyment of my pregnancy tbh which is such a shame.

This is my second baby but I have given everything away after my first because we emigrated. What I learned was supermarkets are open pretty much 24 hours and Amazon prime is next day so really don’t stress. I’ll buy the absolute essentials this time before the baby and the rest when they’re here if I feel like I need them. The amount of money and stuff I waisted the first time truly is criminal I was such a marketers dream.
