It won't bankrupt the country. If it did bankrupt the country, that is what you get when you severely mistreat people.
codewiz007
Yes. America is stupid.
codewiz007
We have been denied for so long that we have gotten used to it. Plus, they have gotten away with so much stuff that they have gotten used to it. They have even conned blacks into not pursuing recompense with guilt and lies.
codewiz007
African Americans could be descendants of slaveowners. The point is who benefited from unjust policies? Whites may not have owned slaves, yet they benefited while African American slaves and descendants of slaves were denied. Resources such as wealth, land, and knowledge were accumulated for generations.
This was government policy that condoned slavery and the injustice that followed.
That isn't "justice for all."
codewiz007
If there are Africans today that benefited from an unjust policy, then they should pay. That depends upon who was in power.
codewiz007
Absolutely, reparations should be paid to descendants of slavery in thr United States. The unjust policies did major damage. The U.S. had no problem denying resources while others benefited.
codewiz007
I like the strategy. States' rights were used to justify slavery. Why not use states' rights for reparations?
codewiz007
Reparations are not handouts. If the government did not want to pay restitution, then it should not have done what it did. Justice for all is a lie.
codewiz007
Restitution to those impacted is not reverse racism. Another lie.
codewiz007
That type of response is expected. Deprive an entire group restitution because we don't know how to implement it.
codewiz007
You are sending a message that if we delay reparation, then we can get out of paying it. I do believe the minimum standard should be raised for everyone, but there was serious damage done to African Americans and more should be done to address the damage.
codewiz007
Yes. If those countries used slaves and resources to enrich their wealth, they should pay restitution.

I am mad. I am going to Canada.

This is a good representation from Dr EyeGuy on YouTube as well. https://youtu.be/VGSSAdMzM0E?si=WE0D9vWmZPNyHh39

I got schedule restricted recently. I did not delay any orders. I was in a slow region. I have to admit I did go to break and paused orders after two hours if I didn't want to do an order. Drivers have to be available for two hours and accept all orders to use the break, which pauses offers for only ten minutes. I was mad for getting two 100 dollar tickets delivering Grubhub orders outside my region from photo enforced cameras in construction zones. The signs were easy to miss. Driving the regular speed limit before construction got me two tickets. There is no doubt customers knew about it and did not care.
I don't think I would have gotten restriction if the market was busy, however.
Grubhub is in violation of contract. They need to be challenged on this. They allow hourly guarantee and penalize drivers for getting it? They think I am going to deliver for them while others have access to scheduling and larger orders? I won't be driving for them unless the restriction is removed.

I did not realize how powerful this group was.
It is very simple. I don't know where you live, but in the United States, whites benefited from unjust laws. That is a fact. African American slaves were denied opportunities to obtain wealth, land, and knowledge. That is not justice for all. Where did the money go that would have gone to African Americans? It went somewhere. So money was essentially taken from blacks and given to whites. If whites benefited from government policy, then blacks should benefit, too.
