Those actually are kind of cute! What did you end up doing with them?

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you putting this info into plain text. It'll also help with IDing some adults I've seen around.
I first started to realize the difference between brown and black widows last year in August, when I found [what I eventually determined were] four L. geometricus egg sacs. Waited two long weeks, checking on them most days, for them to finally hatch!

Thanks!

Welp, I was going to see it at one of CityWalk's 8 pm screenings. Didn't know Universal recently installed check points with metal detectors and X-ray scanners (which wasn't mentioned at all on AMC's site/my ticket and they weren't there last time I went to Universal)...security guys told me to either put my multitool "back in [my] vehicle" (I took Metro!) or throw it away. No option to leave it with them.
My tiny keychain multitool is 2.5" total. The blade of its knife is half that.
Sorry y'all, guess I'll catch it on the streaming release 🙃 (unless it can be shown at the Grove...)

Depends on where OP's from but likely "general education," a prerequisite course in college.

With any luck! Was only in Denver for two nights, so I didn't have time to figure out how to get a good look at Blucifer (without getting arrested) either.

Probably? I haven't been in high school in almost 15 years, so closer to 2004 than now (please excuse me while I turn into dust). However, fashion trends are cyclical, [presumably] American schools don't usually get renovated too often (the computer monitors in particular are old af, but I wouldn't be shocked if some of those are still kicking somewhere), and most importantly...despite the ever-blurring line between real life and social media, teenagers are still teenagers: goofy quasi-kids. I've yet to encounter someone of gen z/α who behaved in a manner totally unfamiliar or unprecedented. There's likely more difference geographically than across the past 30 years.
I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone who's been a student in a western public classroom within the past decade.

I'm at Convergence Station right now trying to figure out what to do with Vend-L. Of course he's unboopable 😩
coldvault
Right? It's literally the opposite of interesting.

Cosigning, those are simply sebaceous filaments. Just make sure you exfoliate in the shower. I like using body wash with salicylic acid in conjuction with a properly scrubby washcloth, really focusing on the areas that tend to get restricted by underwear (back, butt, upper thighs)
I don't necessarily recommend it, but sometimes I can't help tweezing out the affected hairs...why is it so satisfying to pluck and peel stuff out of our pores??

For once, an OP followed through!!

INFO: What have you and your girlfriend actually discussed doing during your "layover?" Has she explicitly asked you to come visit her, or is it presumed? Admittedly some people would be hurt and feel abandoned even if they understand the practicality of preventing the spread of illness; does she have other supportive people available?
Wear properly-fitted respirators when you're there, especially if her place (it sounds like y'all don't live together?) doesn't have air purifiers or good ventilation.

Can you show what scene that's in? I've searched through the script (and the book the movie's based on) and can't find that line or anything like it. Haven't watched or read either, though. The closest excerpt I found, from chapter 10:
Renard smiled with cold contempt, as he answered:
"When the white man dies, he thinks he is at peace; but the red men know how to torture even the ghosts of their enemies. Where is his body? Let the Hurons see his scalp."
Which is...not close at all.
Someone else said it's from "a play," so maybe there's a stage version I need to find...

Oh, Measure J) was in Sonoma County, northern California. Los Angeles, specifically Hollywood, is not the same area at all. Way more agriculture-focused up there (making such legislation more relevant, and much less economically popular).
Last time I drove through wine country I was dismayed to also pass by what I characterized as Cowschwitz/Dacow. In retrospect, probably Harris Ranch; maybe also Lima Ranch?

The café really said, "Hope you like dairy and gluten!" At least there's no mention of tallow.
The menu for the restaurant.pdf) is a laugh too. A symbol legend at the bottom includes "(V) Vegan," but not a single option is actually marked as such. Plus they made sure to include, "Please note game may contain shot" yo what???
coldvault
Yeah, it's across from a Chick-fil-A! Cane's has been expanding like crazy; more recently they also opened where the Arby's used to be...literally one mile east on the same street, I kid you not.
I'm not sure about an area-specific (?) slaughterhouse bill off the top of my head. Are you referring to AB-2764, '21–'22 session? Because that was for the entire state lol. "Rejected" is apt...didn't even get a hearing, let alone a vote.
coldvault
Well, we could just rewild and bring back the deer's natural predators.

The closest we had in LA was Hart House, which closed unceremoniously a couple years ago. Cheap vegan food isn't a sustainable business up against animal ag/MAHA propaganda.
coldvault
Only had the pleasure of going to Tarantino's once and it was SO GOOD—both food and service. My husband is generally kinda hard to impress, but he was a big fan. We're definitely going back next time we're in LV (plus Chef Kenny's!).
coldvault
Oh hey I went there once a couple years ago while on a road trip! Y'all deserve the business. 💚
coldvault
But...veganism is political??

Working in food service is pretty rough no matter what, unfortunately. The sanitizers and constant handwashing definitely triggered and exacerbated my own dyshidrotic eczema.
Sorry the dermatologists you've visited so far haven't been helpful. What are the ingredients of the cream that "does nothing"...and I hate to ask this, but how closely did you follow the instructions you were given? Aquaphor makes many products; which one are you using? My first thought is that urea might be helpful, but you might have already tried that to no effect.
Your overnight gloves are a great idea; however—assuming you mean the typical Aquaphor "healing ointment" which is 41% petroleum jelly—those both mainly work as occlusives (which are products or ingredients that act as barriers to prevent transepidermal water loss; you can think of them as "waxy"), which work best in conjuction with humectants (products/ingredients which draw water to the skin; "watery") and emollients (products/ingredients which provide lipids; "oily"). The most effective way to keep skin hydrated/moisturized is that combo of watery/oily/waxy elements. Aquaphor's healing ointment does also contain the other two kinds of ingredients, but they might be less effective for your especially damaged skin than if they were layered separately.
Again, assuming you haven't already tried: if all else fails, as directed by a dermatologist (hopefully one you trust), topical steroids can be helpful to provide immediate relief and help initiate the healing process. But they're not to be used for extended periods/indefinitely, as they may cause dependence and skin condition worse than what you started with.
