As long as you don't have a dishonorable discharge (OP shouldn't) there is assistance available at the VA
even with a dishonorable, many of those can get re characterized, you'd have to call VA eligibility and start the process.
OP, if you're truly lost, you can absolutely walk right into a VA ER, ideally with a copy of your dd 214, and they will find you something.
