It doesn't necessarily require thousands. After all you are just buying time. Ilia manages to upgrade his many modules (and even write new ones) all by himself. That's actually the difference: between someone who actually knows his shit and a bunch of loudmouths from Reddit.
colshrapnel
Here's your answer
colshrapnel
Fuck you chatgpt
colshrapnel
It's not an arbitrary memory overflow. It's a memory overflow in the module that processes uploaded files.
colshrapnel
Why it should be in uploads and not in any arbitrary directory? Do you even understand how this vulnerability works?
colshrapnel
Go on, take over. Surely you will do better.
colshrapnel
Not sure what do you mean "doesn't work". To me it always worked the same way: some small to mid project goes for practically free and mid to large always backed a commercial entity. PHP development was funded by Zend for decades. It's not that it was only volunteers tinkered in their free time, as some snowflakes in this thread imagine it.
colshrapnel
Honest question - I am just not getting the logic. Why cannot volunteering contributors use AI as well?
colshrapnel
This one is as immature as well. As though PHP was properly funded before AI-boom. And still, it's not a zero-sum game anyway.
colshrapnel
The fact this immature ai reference gets most upvotes... As though it's even remotely relevant
colshrapnel
Would you mind doing at least basic research before you beat this dead horse of a question? It was discussed in every detail in this right here subreddit many times already.
colshrapnel
So what? How it prevents you from writing to that address?
colshrapnel
Yes, anyone can. You could have gotten it fixed already if just posted it here.
colshrapnel
We even have a special report reason here, No spam or low-effort content. With enough votes the automod will remove it automodically.
colshrapnel
It's not "others had already posted alternatives". It's a fucking tide of script-kiddies who are asking Claude to make a personal xampp for them. At the time that nobody needs it at all. And no, it's not you who built it. It's Claude. And no, "cross-platform" is not something unique, Claude always makes it that.
And no, it's not "useful to anyone" For one simple reason: you have no idea what Open source is. It's not a one time show off. It's a fucking chore. You are taking the responsibility of all the people using your program, constantly patching and updating it. While if you don't - nobody's going to use your silly joke as well.
colshrapnel
Dude. We have three free and open-source (MIT) takes on XAMPP/MAMP for local PHP development posted here in this subreddit each fucking day, no weekends. I won't even take a fucking glance on your shit, let alone "try" it. You made it for yourself? Fine. But would you all wannabe free and open-source (MIT) take on XAMPP/MAMP for local PHP development developers spare us from your fucking slop for a change?
colshrapnel
You, sure. What does it to do with us, though?
colshrapnel
This is getting ridiculous.
colshrapnel
if you are curious to toy around with this
There is one problem young man. AI can write such many code that no human being can toy with for the lifetime, without eating, sleeping or going to WC. If you can name one reason why we should toy with this one and not the one posted here 30 minutes ago, I'd consider considering that reason.
colshrapnel
Fuck you. Even without looking I can tell it's fucking ai slop. And we are not your friends, fucking spammer
colshrapnel
These bot posts are starting to become a nuisance...
colshrapnel
Plot twist: this is an actual Trojan.
colshrapnel
You are.
The question was not "Why did you choose C", which you answered. It was "Why did you choose C and not something more memory-safe?". Answering it as "because C runs everywhere" is a mild form of "fuck you".
Why would I pick Rust which I am not as familiar with?
Fine. That's a fair answer. Would have worked better if you said that right there
colshrapnel
There is a post 20 minutes after yours, https://reddit.com/r/PHP/comments/1xchvwv/php2shell_in_the_wild_the_first_48_hours_on_a/
TL;DR: not much
Why?
